thanks. the main reason didn't go for the bolt was the looks like you said plus it was priced above 6 lakhs (xms version) would have attracted more tax than the figo.

car is nearing 1150 kms.

Titanium petrol!!
Guys is it only me or anyone else also has noticed that even petrol variants also of the new Figo are finding the buyers.

BTW it's good of Ford to react so quickly on the consumer feedback. Adjustable headrests were needed on the Figo, being it's fixed ones set a bit too low for providing any decent comfort. IMO it becomes a gamble between thigh support or headrest in the Figo with fixed ones.
Actually I didnt have any issue with the 1.2 Petrol Figo either, most websites like autocar, overdrive, and some others mentioned the 1.2 petrol is a disappoinment, I say the its NOT, its just an affirdable Figo, if someone likes Figos looks, features, etc but not crazy about the mileage it gets the Figo 1.2 Petrol is an insanely good choice, No hatchback in India can be had with 6 airbags under 7.5 lakhs in India but one can get a Figo with all these, thats what the 1.2 Figo does, just make Ford Figo extremely affordable to a buyer, even the best petrol hatch Swift is more expensive to buy than Figo, and dosent have half the prowess Figo has other than better engine.

Exactly same are my views. I mean for the price less than that of a Swift VXi, one gets a Ford Figo Trend 1.2
What we get in Swift VXi over Figo Trend:
Better front seats
Electrically retractable mirrors
A more fuel efficient and enthusiastic engine

What we get in Figo Trend over Swift VXi:
More space in both cabin and boot
Wider tyres
Front Airbags

All this for around 40-50k cheaper, definitely Figo petrol is more VFM.

I checked with my ford dealer SA, he says there have not been any change to the Figo Rear Headrest, is he either not informed or wanting to push the allotted vehicle? I really want to have the rear headrest so it accommodates heights of different individuals

Hi all !!
I am new to this forum and this is my first post.
Congrats to all new ford figo owners and thanks for your reviews with detailed pics. I have booked Trend variant diesel in Ingot silver and the dealer said it will take 2 months to deliver the car. Meanwhile I would like to show the quote I got from him.
Dealer : TRISTAR FORD VISAKHAPATNAM
Model : New ford figo Trend diesel
Colour : Ingot silver
Ex-showroom price : 609445
Life tax@12% : 73390
Incidental Charges : 10000
Comprehensive Insu: 19895
Add zero depp Insu : 2970
Essential Kit : 3913
3rd year warranty : 6953
Total OTR : 726566
Do anyone can throw me a light on above quote and below concerns please....

Incidental charges? When I checked with SA he said it is logistics charges. Is it true that we have to pay?
Essential kit ? SA says it is compulsory.

Here in Trivandrum too I saw a new Figo petrol 1.2 Titanium, it had fixed head rests, I think the pic @allhyundai cars shared was some after market seats,

@1989 - i too felt the petrol engine felt strained. i know figo is real vfm but they can improve the engine.
about the headrest , maybe fordguy can clear our doubts.

@mike - there is no need to pay the incidental charges. just put a post on twitter that this dealer is charging handling charges which are illegal. i did the same and the charges were removed.

what does he mean by compulsory? i'd suggest you to change the dealer. i got essential kit for free with a free perfume plus neck rests and pillows (1500rs worth)

@allhyundaicars : Thx for your reply. I will post in twitter and update the status once i got it. We have only one pathetic dealer in our region so no choice to ignore him. And "strictly no freebies offered" when requested for any.
Ford is working with lot of improvements for their position in India. But their service dealers are the one who keeping them down.

and that's the reason why their attitude is like this. you can definitely get the incidental charges removed but i dont think they will give freebies by reporting on twitter. do update. and you can save some 4-5 k by getting insurance done from outside. check with your preferrer companies and compare.

Anyone from Maruthi swift diesel shifting to New figo diesel variant.
I am curious to know what made you to choose figo over swift in detailed review.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
@Allhyundaicars : For the trend variant ABS & EBD is not available. Have you find any problem while braking with their absence. Earlier Swift VDI doesn't have too and there are complaints from users of poor braking system. However now new swift VDI has ABS & EBD.

there was only one reason i didnt go for the swift, i dont like the car. i didnt even consider it just beacaue everyone has it. even my dad likes the car but i know the rear is cramped. the build quality is nothing great.
my dad didn't see the car until i brought it home and he too found it spacious and bigger than the swift and grand i10 )

even if i liked swift i wouldn't have gone for that beacuse it was above 6 lakh ( 30 k extra just for taxes , no thanks)

you wouldn't believe it but yesterday only i aksed on the verna group for how many kms the brake pads last. after driving the figo my verna brakes(with abs) feel less effective.

i drove the car after some time and nearly missed a bike just because i thought the car will come to a halt but it didn't. that's how good the brakes are on the figo. also , the abs doesn't have any affect on braking but it stops the wheels from locking that's it. so the figo with abs will have the same braking effectiveness.

Thanks for your valuable time to reply. I do have older version Swift diesel which is driven by my dad. He is not confident on my choice for new figo when I told him. But I am impressed with its style, power and price. So without his knowledge I have booked the car and waiting for its delivery. My confidence is building up with many positive official reviews and as well owner ship reviews to show my dad that I have taken a wise decision. But in terms of CS Maruthi is "Gem" to my unfortunate I have a worst FORD dealer with no choice.

i dont think he would mind after watching the car in flesh. he will definitely feel an upgrade from the old gen swift.

about the dealer , i hope the service center is good. see reply number 2 and check the comparison made between the dzirr and the aspire. most of the parts cost exactly the same, maybe they source it from the same supplier and even used identical parts.

Re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel): Ownership Review

With this news, Ford need not to speak a word and people have got their answer for questioning the build quality of the Figo Aspire.

BUT

I have a question:
Is it the same car we drive in India? This example is made in Brazil
