Hi All,

I took the delivery of this little silver beast, Aspire, last week. Rest all fine, but headlights are pathetic. Can anyone suggest which one to go with? Phillips rally or Extreme Vision? I am concerned regarding this swap due to reviews of poor quality headlight assembly in Figo twins in other forms, so please advise.

Thanks in advance.

My car again had an accident. Sis is fine. A commercial vehicle came right in front of the car while overtaking and slammed the brakes hard since the car in front of it stopped.
Car skidded and crashed. Maybe abs would have made a difference.
Gave thr car for insurance claim and asked them to do the service as well. Gave the car on monday and don't even know what's the status of the car. I think today is their off because of dusshhera but these guys take a whole week for insurance claim. I get my car in maximum of 4 days from hyundai.
Yesterday got a message that the car is ready but the advisor didn't call me to inform the same. Service is yet to be done since "they can't open 2 job cards for the same car".
At every trip to the service center i always see one of these.

At harpreet Ford moti nagar.
Got the car today.

Bill of 6290rs done at 29k kms which include
Labor
Engine Oil
Oil Filter
Drain Gasket
Diesel Filter
Washer Fluid
Brake Fluid
Cabin air filter
Horn was replaced under warranty.

The blower throw was very low. The advisor didn't change the cabin air filter even after asking them to. So had to get it changed in front of me. Not an easy task.
Remove the nut from driver side footwell and then open 3 other nuts to access the cabin filter.

Recommend you to atleast get it replaced every 2nd year and cleaned when you don't change it.

Took them 9 days to deliver the car. Holidays too to be blamed. Took them 2 days just to start the insurance claim process.

The bonnet has some paint issue which will be corrected at my next visit.

@allhyundaicars
So how has Ford fared when compared with Hyundai in after sales and service department so far?

I am also looking for new car, so priority are Ecosport or new Verna or Nexon

So Hyundai has a chance to enter my garage, thats why!

I have mixed expereinces in both the companies.

The main thing is the availability of ford service centers are less compared to hyundai. On my way to ford sc , hyundai has atleast 6-7 service centers. I can understand this is because of low ford's sales.

One time it took hyundai 2 hours just to replace a mud flap on my i10.

Also ford advisors didn't force me to go for unnecessary items like hyundai advisors always does.

On a complaint ford gave me 50% off on labor ,once i got a chocolate box from hyundai and the other time service advisor came to my home and gave a perfume.

Ford uses 3m products whereas hyundai just put a Standie stating they use it but in reality they use local polish.

Hyundai takes maximum of 4 days for an insurance claim. Ford always takes around 7 days.

I always prefer a sedan over psuedo suvs. Get the verna :p

Well that makes them on par for the course
Now regarding the sedan vs pseudo suv, I want ground clearance as I have a small farn land 40 kms away from my house, there is practically no road to this land, in Figo it always hurt when I get there to collect vegetables and fruits, thats why I still prefer Ecosport. Orherwise Hyundai new Verna is too good to overlook, my friend has an Elite i20 and he has already done 40k kms with it and he says Hyundais service is an incremental chart, with less kms service costs and bills are low but as kms start to climb its an exponential increase and reckons over time its very costly to maintain,
And I really dont know much about new Elanrra as the priduct itself is new with Elantra based platform, so waiting for Ecosport launch. After that there will be a mega test drive to decide on next car , Nexon is also too tempting.

Hello Everybody,
Back on line after a loong break!! Recently got the first service at cauvery ford, which was mostly dry wash, interior cleaning and checking the fluids, air pressure and the likes. I had the notchy feeling when shifting 2nd & 3rd gear which i had asked the SA to look into, now after the service, the gear shift has been smooth! Some offer on the under body treatment was there, got that done as well, the cost came to RS 3717.00 against 4289 which was quoted from 3M shop.
The next month, i am out of country again, this time for about six weeks, the SA said that it would not be a problem even if the car is standing idle for that duration, on safer side, he said, if some one from home can crank the engine and idle it for about 5 mins with the AC on, at least once during a week should suffice. I hope that it would not create a problem. Is there any other thing specific that i need to pay attention to?
Also can somebody please suggest me a headlamp bulb upgrade which does not void the warranty? Thanks in advance.

Quick update. Did the 20k service a bit early at 18600 kms as the first service was done around 9.3k.
There were not many issues to report. There was loud ratting from front end when going over bad patches. Also minor rattles from doors and dashboards. Unfortunately door/dash rattles were not audible during the test drive of the mechanic. He did acknowledge the rattle from front. The car was returned saying suspension/tie rods are all in tact and to rectify the rattle they fixed some felt lining under the headlights and a missing turbo intercooler bush. The noise appears to have subsided but still not gone. Need to check it some other time.
Total bill came around Rs.4200. Wheel balancing/alignment was not done as it was done just 3k kms ago.
Car has hit 20k kms last week and still going strong.
