Congrats sunnyaspire. Wishing you a delightful and stress free ownership experience. Your Aspire is looking stunning in this shade. How much were you able to reduce the cost after negotiations with dealer. Were any freebies etc. offered by the dealer.
The latest price after GST was 8,88,xxx.00, after corporate discount and misc i was able to get it for 8,74,xxx.00, along with the default accessories, i got the car cover, weather shield, door protector, and a 3M microfiber cloth.
i didn't haggle too much on the price, also the Insurance from Royal sundaram from the showroom cost me quite a bit on the higher side.
Since i did not want to ruin the excitement of buying my first car, i just went ahead with what was offered to me![:)]
The FINAL price including the Rear view camera (with mirror) and rear parking sensors cost me exactly - 889000.00

So frustrating even to change a bulb [frustration]

The low beam has conked off. I understand that i need to remove the socket first , then the dust cover and then take out the bulb.

But the socket just won't budge. Friend was able to remove the spring mechanism and take out the bulb as shown in the picture but the socket didn't come out. There was no locking mechanism on the socket , is it ?

I had removed and fitted a new bulb. I followed the instructions in the owner's manual and found the process to be straight forward.

As per TeamBHP July 2017 sales figures- Zest: 2389, Aspire: 2074. I have not driven Zest yet but surprised to see Aspire selling lower than Zest. Why is the Aspire struggling inspite of all the positive reviews by owners.

I think the Zest sales majority are open to Taxi sales, which is really SAD , another point I have observed is the premium hatch backs are more trendy and more preferred than compact sedans nowadays, see how much Baleno has sold around 19k units even better than the spanking new Dzire
So this is clear case of Ford being too late to party, Ford should have come up with Aspire way back in 2013-2014, now the trend has moved with compact SUVs and sub 4m premium hatch backs , so Aspire and new Figo will slowly cruising at low sales numbers till new facelift will give them some life, still it will never get the required success as the trend it too old now, more people are ready to invest in something like a compact premium hatch back than a compact sedan

Adding to the previous posts, Figo sales are very low too in July, around 900 units only!
I think there are lots of things going against Ford here:
- Brand perception (High maintenance myth, Chance of quitting India like Chevrolet etc)
- Looks, its a nice looking car, but nothing stands out, no aggressiveness in design. Puny 14 inch tires make things worse. The car runs like a small car from distance, although the space is in abundance inside
- Ordinary interiors. The speedo+MID combo is pretty ordinary at this price. The center console is a turn off too.
- Missing features - parking sensors, rear camera, touchscreen, key less entry to name a few
- Seating position, ingress and outgress - The seating is pretty low if we consider the lower variants where there is no seat height adjust. Ingress and outgress on front seats can be a bit tough for old/short folk due to the slanting seat design.
- Lame petrol engine, no option of a cheap automatic (like AMT in Maruti)

Agree with all the points. They should revamp the interior just like the amaze to get some orders. Beside your points , they should do something about the hard gearshifts and the clutch too.

But still i will say it's pretty vfm compared to other cars. Price is low therefore the features are low.

Agreed. The Wow factor is missing in the interiors.

Yes it is indeed VFM car. I got a quote of Rs. 8 lakhs on road for Titanium diesel. If after further negotiations the dealer reduces 20-30k more, then final on road price of Rs. 7.7 - 7.8 lakhs will be just too good [especially when compared to Baleno Zeta Petrol @ Rs. 7.5 lakhs or Dzire Zxi @ 7.8 lakhs approx.]

Figo/Aspire is a great VFM product - no two sides to that.
I bought my Figo Trend Diesel for roughly 6.8L after discounts in 2016. My friend bought Swift LXI Petrol for 5.6L around the same time! Figo Trend is way ahead of Swift LXI/LDI in almost all aspects.

By the way - got a chance to ride my friend's Baleno Zeta Petrol for a good 100 kms last week. Thought I will quickly write down my impressions here.
Positives:
- Fully loaded with features - Auto HL, Height adjustable seatbelt, rear charging port, key less entry, UV cut glass; you name it!
- The engine is super silent at idle and smooth, though audible once we get rolling. Smooth revving too
- Bottom end response of the engine felt better than in Swift, result of low kerb weight?
- Gear shift is smooooth compared to Figo
- Great looking speedo dials and MID. MID has loads of info too
- Good space
- Surprisingly, the stereo was sounding good

Negatives:
- Though the engine is very responsive, it is nowhere near the 100PS TDCI
- Ride felt bit stiff even with 5 passengers (could be due to possible high tire pressures too)
- Slight undulations on road are felt as vibrations on steering which I have never felt on the Figo
- With 5 people on board, there is wavelike motion (up and down) at speeds above 70.
- Though the interiors look nice, I personally prefer more grayish color of the Figo's dash better.
- Storage near the gear levers are not that useful
- Mediocre noise insulation in the cabin

P.S: No offense to any Baleno owners. These are my personal views [:)]

My only wish now is that Ford should give new Figo facelift an interior like new facelift Ecosport, sure its a VFM car so soft touch plastics are not at all important but at least design wise it should feel modern
Parking sensors, rear view camera,
SYNC 3 with Apple car play and Android Auto in at least the top variant, electromagnetic boot release switch,
better looking alloy wheels, better headlamps dual barrel setup is much appreciated, steering reach and rake adjust,
I feel all these would crank Figos price to SWift level, but then it will at least feel like its worth the extra, as of now Figo screams VALUE VALUE VALUE, but lost some spice

Re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel) | 3rd Service Update | 20,000 Kms: Ownership Review

Hi all,
Update on my figo:
Done 3rd regular service @18171kms.
Bill amount is 4670/- ( Parts :2049.10,labour : 1883 & Tax: 737.9) inclusive of AC air filter.
Wheel alignment and balancing done at out side the showroom and values are as below.
P_20170811_123831_vHDR_Auto.jpg
From the report I see there is difference in caster and camber value where the alignment guy said they cannot adjust it and the values are ok. Need any expert advise whether the statement is true.

After the servicing I drove for about 100km and observed that the engine sound has become little louder than before.
FE update : City , Highway and Ghats altogether achieving an average of 24kmpl with AC on 80%.

The AC filter cost is 130 rs/- only. The process is very difficult. It is located under the centre console right side and adjacent to C pedal. Ref below image.

Unscrew the bolt then bend the plastic sheet with little force and hold. Then you will find rectangular slot with cap of 4 corners screwed. Unscrew them then you can find it. This is very difficult process compared to other cars I think. Even I too helped him in that process by holding plastic sheet to tilt in a position.
