http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...figo-1-5d-engine-oil-leak-cause-solution.html

I too have the issue. I had the engine breathing assembly changed under warranty. But the issue has cropped up again.

I have decided to ignore it for now. I do suspect that the ASS guys abuse our rides in the name of test drive.

PS: Came to know that you have already found my thread. Still it would help folks looking up to know about the issue.
I went to the sc yesterday after making an appointment. First they said we can check the car only on tuesday. Reason given - sunday is a busy day and monday is off for all mechanical things.
I waited 40 minutes to listen to this.
I requested him to atleast get it checked in front of me.
After a while they cleaned the part and tightened the nut, topped up oil ( 300 ml)

The advisor told me that i didnt check the oil level correctly. He checked the oil level after starting thr car for 10 seconds and the level at the dipstic was short of just 2-3 bars.

Got the car in 2 hours and they mentioned it as normal sepage and not a leakage.
Sepage used to happen in my thunderbird as well. But i will check the oil level monthly.

@ karma - sometimes only one work horn works so it gives a weird output.
To clean the air filter around 4 nuts needs to be opened. Cleaning air filter in hyundai's is easy because they use clamps.

@ sumit - give the price breakup of everything.

Re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel) | 3rd Service Update | 20,000 Kms: Ownership Review

...All of the parts have held up well and there is no unexpected wear except for the MRF tyres which hardly has any tread left on it. Planning on getting them replaced soon . Which 175/65/R14 tyres would you guys recommend ? Our Brio has the Bridgestones and it's alright don't know If I really want to fit it on the Figo. The 195/55/R15 is out of the question at least for now because I'm super broke to shell out 45k. Also how about the 185/60/R14 XM2's? We've got the R15's on our Vento and it's done 45k without much fuss. Thanks!
.. My tyre dealer , a relative told me xm2 will have chipping issues if running is low. I have bought 3 sets of yokohama earth 1 and these are really good but these are not silica tyres like xm2 so yoko will be a little noisy but less expensive.
I had got the tires replaced under warranty as mentioned earlier in this thread. The Figo is on Energy XM2's now (stock size) and I should mention that they are excellent.
Better grip, better ride quality, very very less road noise and slightly better steering feel compared to the MRF's.

I also have same issue with my Ford Fiesta Classic, have visited Ford SC couple of times to report the same. First time in Bangalore even after they working on this, the problem did not solve.
Second time I left my car for service in my native and that time they said they tightened the connection, and it should fix the issue.
As of now I have not experienced the problem again, but what I observed is this issue used to happen when its raining and I switch on the AC [frustration][confused]

What's happening in your case?

Can you please upload the bill ? It would be helpful for other members as well as me. Hide your personal details.
Xm2's are really good,If you like them stick with them.
Btw what's your vento's yearly running ? My tyre dealer , a relative told me xm2 will have chipping issues if running is low. I have bought 3 sets of yokohama earth 1 and these are really good but these are not silica tyres like xm2 so yoko will be a little noisy but less expensive.
Haven't gotten the bill yet will upload as soon I get it . And about the tyres , I swapped the MRF's for XM'2's - the same stock size. It's pretty decent so far , the MRF was stupid loud , these are way better , Can't speak on the other aspects since it's only been a day. Also , my brother just told me that the MRF's that came with our car were manufactured in 2011- major lol moment haha! should have been more vigilant at the time of purchase but it lasted 30k so it's whatever. On your yearly running question- the Vento doesn't run a whole lot it has done only 80k in 4 years, 35k on the apollo acceleres in the first 2 years and the rest on XM2's, so about 20-22k a year.

@ pradeep - when i press the lock button twice the car beeps but only one horn works. So i guess when the car engine is off , horn doesn't work properly.

@ soulo - at 25k even my figo's tyre has become noisy but will use them till they become useless.
2011 manufactured tyre- in figo or the vento ?

My elantra comes with silica tyres and those are super silent. I think those are hankook brand.
So i might go for Xm2's or another silica tyre for the figo as well.

The 2011 tyres came with the Figo but those MRF's are very decent at best so even If the tyre was manufactured in 2015 it would've been the same fiasco it is right now.

I don't have this problem. Horn in my car works even when car engine is off.
I have not seen discussions in earlier thread, did u try to show this any mechanic outside service center for second opinion

A few updates on left pulling issue - Figo Sports.

The next day after the first alignment at mrf, went to known tyre shop to check out alignment, the reading were quite different from the first one and they had done some adjustments which did not solve the issue, but after few kms of driving i again felt the left side(not pulling) going issue.

After the first 2 alignments, i felt there was no change and it still it was moving left. One of my dear friend in Pondicherry who works with Manatec had asked me to bring the car and said lets check it out and analyze. The car was raised and everything was checked, alignment the angles and almost everything they could check out, My friend ilango had said that everything is perfect and at right angles, he did a td prior to this and he came to a conclusion saying its the tyre, as the tyre when swapped, the car was moving to the right. Will attach pics for reference. So we went to another alignment shop from the company outlet to check another reading, the reading was different because they had the normal figo reading and not for the sports. The person who drove my car knew what could be the problem and they had already adjusted the toe in for the car. While returning from pondy, with heavy rains, the car was driving straight and my friends and i concluded that the rain has corrected the pull and all was better.[lol]

Re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel) | 3rd Service Update | 20,000 Kms: Ownership Review

So this was all set, i had gone to the service manager after the 2 alignments done, before going to pondicherry to check what could be the problem. I did not ask for any except the service Manager, who spoke to me and i had requested him to do a Td with me if he is free. He said he will and joined me. He noticed the left pulling that i had said and told me he will get back in 2 days as he has not got any readings for the new figo sports to check for alignment. I knew i had to tell him that it was not alignment and told him what all is happening and how many people are complaining regarding this left pulling issue. I simply showed him this youtube video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEbNUKKOhIM&t=37s . He was shocked and told me i know how hard it is to happen to a new car, give me 2 days time will definitely do something about it. So that afternoon itself i decided i wanted to check things on my own as well and went to Pondicherry. Now yesterday i got a call a call from the service manager to come to the ASS. So reached there and they checked the alignment, the toe in readings was way off - this was because the second person who had adjusted the readings did it in such a way to tally the left pull. Now The ASS started with their job of rotating the wheels and doing td. I was there the whole day yesterday at ASS. I had informed him earlier that i have done whatver you have done and still it does the same, and also told him that its the wheels probably that has a defect. So once the swapping was done, and did the td's i had suggested lets drive a normal figo and also a sports if incase you guys have one, and also swap the wheels to make sure if there are any problems with the wheel as such. The service manager who was so cooperative started saying that i will arrange a td vehicle, lets go for a highway test with both cars, there is a 5 sec rule till which the car if does not pull left, its all fine. I got irritated with the reply i got as it was the same reply that many of them had got. So i returned back and i did not have this feeling of having a new car at all. Its been just a week and all i was roaming around was for a brand new car which just needs to be driven and not be bothersome. I had already wanted to change the apollo(OE) tyres to Conti Max contact - same spec. I enquired at the tyre shop and he said he could take the old wheels at 3k per tyre(600 - 700km run), the balance i needed to pay was around 10 for the 4 wheels with balancing, so i went there and got them changed. I am not able to say that the left pulling is now gone, i still have it. I need to drive more and still have to do one more alignment for my sake. Will update once i do that.

PS- the first pic shows the alignment reading (toe in adjusted by the second alignment person in pondy) at Ford ASS. So they corrected that reading and the straight going car now started going left.

@karma0306

After seeing so many posts about the left pull I checked it last day on my car and I too felt that the car goes slightly to the left. But I didn't check it for so long.
And, on straight roads I don't need to correct the steering, I simply have to keep my hands on the steering that's it.
As it doesn't cause any discomfort in my drives, I think I will leave as it is.

It is easy to say, but my two cents - let Ford work on it and get back to you, till then forget it and enjoy the beast.
I met a new Aspire TDCI owner yesterday, I just checked with him how is the car - all he is having is a wide grin on his face! And I am never gonna tell him about this left pulling issue [:)]

@ Satson

Definitely what you say is right and i would also go by it..going left isnt the problem..i can also live with it..but constant steering to the right is quite an issue.. Unlike yours..mine does pull to the left. Like real left. My friends who joined me on the 150km drive was like please never ever take or move your hand on the highway..is yours a titanium variant with alloys? Glad to know you are enjoying it. I am trying my best to get this out of my head as well as enjoy the ride!

As far as I understand its a front sub frame issue, Ford has already replaced sub frame of some Figos and the issues has been solved, I saw this on another forum where the front sub frame was changed along with front suspensions and issue was solved even with stock MRFs, but dont know how to make the FASS do it, as they are pretty stubborn on admitting its a manufacturing defect.

But if the subframe is the issue, wont the alignment readings be different? or atleast a little off? 1989 could you please let me know where you read them, i would also like to read a little about it more.
