Can you please upload the bill ? It would be helpful for other members as well as me. Hide your personal details.
Xm2's are really good,If you like them stick with them.
Btw what's your vento's yearly running ? My tyre dealer , a relative told me xm2 will have chipping issues if running is low. I have bought 3 sets of yokohama earth 1 and these are really good but these are not silica tyres like xm2 so yoko will be a little noisy but less expensive.

Sorry guys wasn't able to reply any sooner , but , yes , it was indeed the condenser that was damaged. The Ford tech's replaced that for 10k including labor and another 5k for the 30k service.

All of the parts have held up well and there is no unexpected wear except for the MRF tyres which hardly has any tread left on it. Planning on getting them replaced soon . Which 175/65/R14 tyres would you guys recommend ? Our Brio has the Bridgestones and it's alright don't know If I really want to fit it on the Figo. The 195/55/R15 is out of the question at least for now because I'm super broke to shell out 45k. Also how about the 185/60/R14 XM2's? We've got the R15's on our Vento and it's done 45k without much fuss. Thanks!
Glad to hear that your ride is all back to shape! For the tyres, what i have read was Yoko seems to do well i guess, also not sure whether conti cp5 - is available in that spec, if its there then i would also recommend conti!

Post some more pictures in daylight as well.
Here you go! First 4 pics - before tinting the glass and have been debadged! The rest of the pics are latest after tinting the glass with Wurth (20% VLT) sunfilm.

Update on Pulling left issue! - Ford Figo Sports Diesel!

Went to a MRF tyre alignment centre near my place (They had Corghi machine) ! Asked them to do wheel alignment as a recommendation from ilango(speed thrust) - a member and a good friend. The right and left toe had some minor adjustments to be done. Ilango had suggested than 1mm 15min - is quite a difference for a new car and that the pdi people in ford must have not seen it or could have been lazy to notice this. DId this alignment yesterday but am still not convinced yet, as the car does seem to go left ( it doesnt have the pull effect actually) but gradually moves(not steers) to the left, but at times it does go straight. Either am too skeptical that the problem has not been solved or the problem still persists. Will try the alignment once again in another place soon and keep it posted. I read that a few members had this problem, one of the things is the steering is quite heavy compared to the Hyundai verna i had. Hopefully everything resolves soon!

What's the heat rejection percentage on that film ? And how much it costed you ? Did you cover the front glass as well ?

Try this. Take the car on an open road. Make the car go a little right, let go off the steering wheel and then see if the car keeps going right or it turns to left. This is the correct method to check for alignment. If it goes towards right only then alignment is fine and there should not be any problem.

If the caster is out of adjustment, it can cause problems in straight line tracking. If the caster is different from side to side, the vehicle will pull to the side with the less positive caster.

Not sure what the marketing team of Ford is up to!
Today one of Ford dealers here had a demo stall setup in Technopark and they had only the regular Aspire and Endeavour for demo. Why can't they bring the new Figo Sports which would have definitely attracted more people to the stall!
I too feel the marketing team really needs to work on what would sell as a hot cake( [;)] ) for them. One thing i noticed when i was booking the Titanium version(Smoke Grey) of Figo, had enquired about the sports, about 2 out of 4 dealers did not know what exactly are the changes in sports and had no idea about the colours as well( they had told me its available in all colours). I did my browsing and later on decided to change to sports(same smoke grey) in few days, and i was the one who informed the dealer that only 5 shades are available in sports, so and so have been changed and smoke grey, blue shades arent available, as they had taken the booking of Sports - Smoke Grey colour. The next day i had changed to Sports - Ruby red by a simple task, - confirmed with the Ford Online customer care.( Was looking at a lot of video reviews and pictures to see how the sports treatment of Smoke grey colour would be and found that only 5 shades are available in that)

The answer from the sales person prior to this was they usually get only about 5-10 mins briefing it seems when an update on a model is done and they werent given one even after weeks of its official launch. They did have one Sports Aspire for display though. So seeing the picture, the dealers themselves aren't that informed and upto date on their models, i feel that they still do not know what they can sell easily and what take times to sell!. [roll] [frustration]

I did not see for the heat rejection percentage.. but its actually better. Will try to find out and update! I did not do anything for the front windshield, had done 3m anti glare(around 6000 rs) for my swift , it was the worst thing i did back then i guess. So decided to leave the front windshield as of now.

The charges for WURTH sunfilm was 2400, had also bought Jopasu duster(650), 2 microfibre cloth for interior and exterior(350). Paid around Rs.3400 in total!

Debadging was done by me(DIY) at home with a string and an all purpose cleaner - 10 mins job as its a new car and its easy to take off the glue.

Yes i did try in a few roads here, it does go right sometimes and left too, am not convinced, so still in a dialemma. Trying it almost everytime i take the car! [roll].

i added more information in my reply above.

2400 is too much. the main thing in a branded sunfilm is the heat rejection. you should ask your installer the same just for knowledge.
did the film come in a sealed box like this ?
what problem did you face with the 3m film ? i always prefer garware brand for sunfilm.
figo's front costed me 2800rs (70% VLT , 50% Heat rejection) and for the side and rear - 800rs (70% VLT , 30% heat rejection)
i bought the same for verna , figo and the elantra.

Yes i did see the update. Thanks

Oh well i did not ask or see the box, basically a few of my friends have done it from that shop, so got it installed by the same person. The person did get it as a roll and from a box though! Well this is a lesson and did you order it online and from which website. I do see the WURTH logo in the sunfilm, not sure how legit it is.. But i remember seeing about the heat rejection in their test film! You wont beleive how much was i qouted first in a nearby shop - 4700 ( for 4 sides and rear windhshield)[lol]

The problem i faced was, after the antiglare film pasted on the windshield, all i got was the glare which seemed to be quite irritating..[lol] This was long back though. I shall try what you have done soon.

According to what you have said about the castor, yes the car shud have been going to the right! [frustration] . Will be going to another alignment soon in Pondicherry who works in a wheel alignement firm to get a better look at this and get the result!

i bought it from a local shop. i always go to the same guy and ask him to open the films in front of me. if he says it's wurth then no option but to believe it but do ask about heat rejection whenever you go.
i don't face any problems with the garware though.
and i too will go for alignment next week and post the data here.

BAD UPDATE [frustration]

i opened the hood to clean the air filter and saw these oil leak [frustration] i think i read something about the issue in another thread. will find the same and report. going to the sc tomorrow. another issue is the horn.

car has just run around 5300 kilometers since last service and oil level is less than half. will also ask them when low oil level icon will glow. it should be glowing at this level.
i couldn't even clean the air filter because of the star shaped screws.

Ouch! That looks like almost half of the oil gone! How come theres a leak? What could be the reason? Update once after visiting the sc! I hope its a small thing which could be easily rectified.

Whats wrong with the horn by the way?

Do let me know how to clean the airfilter? Would like more info on that too once ur car issue is settled!

http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...figo-1-5d-engine-oil-leak-cause-solution.html

I too have the issue. I had the engine breathing assembly changed under warranty. But the issue has cropped up again.

I have decided to ignore it for now. I do suspect that the ASS guys abuse our rides in the name of test drive.

PS: Came to know that you have already found my thread. Still it would help folks looking up to know about the issue.
