I believe you are given the last few digits. Please ask him to send the full 17 digits vin detail. He should have got the invoice for the same. Alternatively you can check for yourself once it has come to dealer yard.
Thanks arun! Yes i do believe its the last digits of the vin, they have told that only once the car comes to the yard, they will be able to give the vin, for which i mentioned, i will come and have a look at the car when its in the yard!

Thanks 1989! Tried that, getting confused as one of my friends decoded this and it says Feb 2017, when the sports is launched only by april, a stock car by february doesnt really make sense to me, I do not want to be fooled by the dealer, so waiting to go and check the vin number myself before buying it. But when i check that link, it says may 2017. I need to get the full vin inorder to know what make it is.

New Figo AKA KA+ Fails Moose test for handling, shows the bad effects of a soft suspension setup
...
Does that really matter for a car as cheap as 6L [:)]?
I just watched few videos there where much more expensive cars like Golf GTI fails at 77kmph, better only by a couple of kmph than Figo.
Or am I missing something here?

I just posted it for the information , it dosent matter much but I guess Ford is known for its dynamically brilliant cars and when it made a car for the mass the results are this

This video clearly shows the disadvantage of the soft suspension setup

May be it would be better with the Figo Sports?

Dont think so, the international Figo aka KA+ has the same setup as the Figo S available here in India as Figo S, but one thing is they provide ABS+EBD+2 airbags and TCS standard in most countries , but TCS was not there in the Figo tested by the km77.com website, maybe a cost cutting measure Ford took there resulted in this result

Re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel) | 3rd Service Update | 20,000 Kms: Ownership Review

Hello Guys , Had an accident yesterday , while driving back at night, one of these poles on the side of the road with a political parties flag fell right in front of my car , I was doing about 40 kmph and couldn't swerve away in time . The flag somehow managed to get into the housing right below the number plate and the huge ass steel rod to which it was tied to was right under my front tyres , I had to slowly move the left and park the car (all of this while dragging the rod with the car) . I get out and I see no damages , absolutely none but there was white smoke coming out of the hood for about 20 seconds and it stopped and there was this "wooz"sound coming from under the number plate . Managed to get the flag out and everything and I get in the car and drive slowly but the A/C unit wasn't working , only the fan would turn on , turned it off immediately and drove back home which is about 6-7 mins from the POC . My question is, How bad is this and what could have gone kaput and what is the bill I'm looking at? Also both my front tyres' sidewalls have cuts in them (not deep one's) , the tyre's have done 30k , is there a way to get it fixed or am I only looking at a replacement?

It could have damaged the condensor. The whoosh sound must have been the ac gas leaking.
Condensor would cost 4-6k plus 2k labor. Post pictures of the tyre cuts.

Hey peeps! Got the car - ruby red sports figo diesel delivered yesterday! So far all is smooth. Hassle free delivery.I somehow feel there is a slight left pull! Will try to check tyre pressure and also balancing if not convinced with the air pressure.

Will upload more pics later!

@soulo whats the update on your side!

Not sure what the marketing team of Ford is up to!
Today one of Ford dealers here had a demo stall setup in Technopark and they had only the regular Aspire and Endeavour for demo. Why can't they bring the new Figo Sports which would have definitely attracted more people to the stall!

Sorry guys wasn't able to reply any sooner , but , yes , it was indeed the condenser that was damaged. The Ford tech's replaced that for 10k including labor and another 5k for the 30k service.

All of the parts have held up well and there is no unexpected wear except for the MRF tyres which hardly has any tread left on it. Planning on getting them replaced soon . Which 175/65/R14 tyres would you guys recommend ? Our Brio has the Bridgestones and it's alright don't know If I really want to fit it on the Figo. The 195/55/R15 is out of the question at least for now because I'm super broke to shell out 45k. Also how about the 185/60/R14 XM2's? We've got the R15's on our Vento and it's done 45k without much fuss. Thanks!
