Re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel): Ownership Review

I have a very bad news from my dealer today. My vehicle will be delivered next year only.[cry]
On the positive side you'll get some advantage on resale value if it is registered start of 2016, but I myself have put aside the myth of resale value and getting the vehicle delivered 1st week of December 2015.

Did he give you any specific reason as to why such a long delay ?? [confused]
Reason from SA : Ingot silver colour is not available in Trend variant at the moment and currently they are closing 2015 production by this month end to start 2016 mfg units at plant. [shock]

I came across this image of blue aspire during a google image search, which I have cropped so that you can get an idea of how blue looks like. If possible, ask your seller if he has blue available. ( in case if you liked the colour)

@ mike - that is unfortunate. do they have any other colors available ? and i agree with dohcinheaven about the resale.
when i got my bike and i10 rated they all gave the same value. i dont think there will be any major differnce between a december model and a january. if you can wait for silver you should or else buy the color available.

Re: New Ford Figo Trend (Diesel): Ownership Review

He is offering grey and gold colour. The reason to stick silver is for its benefits and I will travel around 1200 km per run twice in a month that too at night time. As silver has metallic shine during my night travel other vehicles can notice me at a long distance (chances from escaping any bad incidents).
So I am confused and not able to decide at the moment. Another worry is if ford hike their prices it will be added disappointment for my waiting till next year.
@Carguy: I really liked Blue and ruby red but as said above for the advantages of Silver only I have not considered any other colour. I will visit the showroom this Sunday again and will re-consider on colour choice.

Ford is giving offer on Ford new Figo Free insurance + exchange bonus of 25k https://www.india.ford.com/offers

No where it mentions it is for titanium and titanium+ only, my dealer is saying it is for titanium variant and above and not available on Trend diesel, can anyone confirm who has booked what you were told? the offer is valid from Nov 1st to Nov 30th 2015

Why dont you email ford customer care.?
They respond within an hour or so.
You can also show the dealer the e-mail response.
He cant possibly give any excuse to that .

Go through below terms and conditions:
*Terms & conditions Apply.
New Figo Base Petrol variant. The offer is applicable only on selected models of New Figo bookings done from November 01, 2015 through November 30, 2015 (both days inclusive) with full payment made on or before November 30, 2015. Offer on New Figo (selected models): Free Insurance and Exchange bonus (details below): The free insurance on New Figo is on selected models from Ford preferred insurers for first year only.

It may be a trick to attract buyers. Now it is dealer time to keep what model it is applicable. As I posted in my previous post with an Ad on new figo they clearly published in local newspaper that is applicable for titanium and + variants in T&C's.

Confirmed News
This insurance free and exchange bonus scheme is exclusively for Titanium and Titanium+ variants.

Trend is actually the hot selling variant and there is already waiting on the Trend diesel so why will Ford offer discounts on this variant? In fact if I am not wrong then I am yet to spot a Titanium or Titanium+ variant of Figo or Figo Aspire till date on the roads.

@carguy thanks for the pic. Blue is also looking cool. Really liked it.

@mikemk91 I never considered that color of a car can be a disadvantage during night driving. I have no idea. I think it hardly matters. As per your reasoning, you should then go for white. I am not trying to change your mind mate. It's entirely your choice. I just mentioned as I find the reasoning odd as per my knowledge.

@Docinheaven I agree that on site it is not clear that on which model the offer is valid. However the advertisement they are giving in newspaper clearly specify that it is on titanium and titanium + models. So dealer is giving the right information here.

This is such a pathetic situation, I dont understand why dealers of VW,Ford, are so full of bigotery,Ford has given India a masterpiece product that should give sleepless nights to anything and everything from Swift to Polo GT TDI and yet Ford s pathetic dealers are so much fraudulent that they never try to become a part of success,
I stay in Kerala and here in Harry Ford TVM the dealers is always ready to give some ground for customer to buy the product, dont know why some dealers are so ill,
Smart products killed by foolish dealers.
Hi, I am a total newbie in the car world. Planning to buy my first car - the ford figo. Here in Trivandrum roads, I see (or it seems to me that) the ford cars are mostly from Kairali ford and very few from Harry Ford. If the observation is correct, I am wondering what is the reason. Is Harry Ford relatively new in TVM or is their after sales service good? It would be very helpful, if you can kindly provide your input on it. My concern is because, this dealer is closer to my residence, so I would prefer them if everything else is okay. Thanks.

Hii TVM13 where do you stay?
I stay at Nanthancode?
Yes Harry Ford is very good, their after sales too is better than Kairali Ford, I ve been with Kairali Ford for the past 4 years and from this year on I have moved to Harry Ford, and they have done well to impress me, you can confidently book from Harry Ford,
