I think Ford has nailed it on all departments !! Would love to read a official review soon. Though I was hoping better boot space and ABS on all variants .

Heard from an acquaintance that he has received an offer of INR 50K to 60K discount on GrandI10 if he books before 27th Sep 2015.
I too was getting 60k discounts on grand i10 but please ask your friend to see the atructural stability of the car as well.

For the same reason i have removed grand i10 from my list.

If looks is not a problem, then I think you should go for Bolt.
Price wise it will be much cheaper as Bolt gets the 1st year insurance free + Cash discount of around 10k + 333 offer free.

@TheMotorRomeo

Well Noted!

Thanks for your reply

This information is incorrect, IIRC Figo was launched in March 2010 alongside VW Polo. In fact i had prebooked one after seeing it at Auto Expo 2010 & i got one (Petrol Titanium) in May 2010. So no way could Figo exist before AutoExpo 2010.

Anyways, the initial pricing is very good an with multiple choice of variants this car will sell well. Diesel should be a popular choice followed by Petrol Automatic. I expect these prices to go up one's the initial period is over. Well Done FORD.

If you're looking for Petrol Hatch, i would say Grand i10 if budget is under 6-7 lakhs. While 7-10 lakhs, i would consider Swift & Jazz. While Jazz has great middle, top end performance it struggles at lower rpms. Simple thing is to upshift build revs and get past this lag. Bolt i am not sure because i hardly seen it, i had old Figo and it's petrol engine was not that impressive. Overtaking needed planning, & it wasn't much efficient either. If you are looking at the New Figo consider the diesel version. If Petrol, Grand i10, Jazz, Swift.

Figo is a good option. Its new, have stunning looks and with enough safety features. However Bolt is equally good. Its turbo charged engine is good to drive. Some owners reported of low FE initially. I hope this issue is solved from Tata's end. And you will get huge discounts for bolt as the sales of bolt is not as good as Tata expected.

Go to Tata and have a test drive. If you are satisfied with the drive and the ASC, you can go for it. When I test drove, I was not satisfied with the SA and their knowledge on Zest. Their attitude showed that they were not interested in selling one.. May be some zest or bolt owners can comment on the service details...

Wow.. Figo with 1.5 Ti-VCT.. This is awesome. So this is going to be the fastest petrol hatch?? Ford got everything right this time. The design(both exteriors and interiors) looks stunning. And top notch safety with 6 airbags on the top variant. Also I read that ford claims that the maintenance cost will be 20% lesser than its competition. Well after they launched the child parts system, I think they will get it right..

P.S.. With all hatchbacks going powerful, why can't Honda get the 1.5 ivtec in Brio[evil] or in Jazz atleast...

I say take a thorough test drive of both
Bolt has more space, more boot space, some funky features as well and it rides and handles beautifully too
But it wont be as fun to drive as a Figo hatchback, also the Figo is a car of a different spectrum, its playing the 1st in segment cards here, if @Safe Driving is more happy with all variants getting airbags or 6 airbags go with Figo petrol 1.2 ,
I wouldnt advice Figo 1.2 petrol if they arent completely looking for Safety and Fords feature lists, in the Figo hatchbacks line up the diesel is the best pick followed by the 1.5 TiVCT AT, the petrol is just to make the brand accessible to super low mile runners, like less than 6000 kms a year,
If I were @Safe Driving 007 I too would have gone for Tata Bolt provided the Tata service is fine there.

@Akash1886

Any news on Figos performance hatchback?

Also can you provide more insight on warranty of the DCT Figo and Aspire, like again in brochure its written 10 years maintenance free, but that dosent mean it gets warranty right?

I am yet to drive a Figo or Aspire. But I've driven bolt, and I feel it's a good overall package. Revotron is a peppy motor and it feels rev-happy. Fit, finish and feel is premium inside. XMS gets dual airbags and ABS and still it will be proven cheaper than Figo. So if you want to buy a car within a month or two go for Bolt, otherwise wait for Figo to prove the grounds and then decide.

Sadly this time the brochure wasn't given at launch. Still, all queries on performance and other aspects will be addressed by me once I get on the wheels of Figo Hatch this weekend.[:)]

Although they have done terrific job, they failed to generate enough marketing for this superb product.

Had it been in the hands of Hyundai/Maruti/Honda, it would have been over hyped atleast for six months and then screwed us with bigger price.
