The Abarth Punto will be launched in October. So this will change pretty quickly. Second, I noticed the considerable squealing from the Aspire tyres during that video. Not a good safety sign at all. The car needs better/fatter tyres to handle the power/weight ratio. Again- advantage Abarth Punto.
Abarth Punto, thats a different animal and dosent fight against Figo by no means even if priced lower than normal Punto pricing, also think of the Figo hatch Titanium+ TDCI
100 hp
215 NM
6 Airbagsu
Abs
Ebd
Almost all features one would ever need in a hatch back except rear seat head rests being fixed
25.8 kmpl
Just 8.56 lakhs On road
In comparison the competition is light years behind man,
The value Ford Figo offers is unbeatable even if we look cross segements, its way above class norms, true Ford has skimped on their robust built quality but didnt change its high strength steel stricture and didnt skimp on safety features while giving absolutely insane power and torque,
If one is a logical buyer who wants a hatchback below 9 lakh Rs, the Polo,Figo,Jazz, maybe upcoming Baleno are the Absolute pics,I still respect Polo because even though its got just 90 HP it feels faster, more driveable, more powerful, more robust, solid, safe and luxurious than Jazz and Figo and Punto. The Punto 90 Hp too is great but I got super disappointed by its terrible turbo lag and clunky gearbox,
Also if one is going the AT way the Figo is the best undoubtedly DCT 112 PS,136 NM and yet just under 8 .2 lakhs on road however huge the tax maybe,
I have driven the Aspire AT and for the pricr even though its not super high tech as DSG Polo, its absolutely a mega bargain for that price,
The sole looser in Figo line up is the 1.2 Petrol, not that its bad but wont make sense for some other than super low mileage users . Even still there is nothing that will easily beat Figo in terms of how much value it provides for the money,
