Hi All,
Finally all the late night researches, queries, calls are in vain....:(
Yes I'm thinking of cancelling my booking as my Mom is not convinced with the Ecosport. Unlike others, from day-1 only she is not convinced with the modern, sporty looks of it and started comparing it with Innova comforts (truly Innova's comfort is no way matchable but also I agree they are from different segments and actually we should not compare). So finally she decided to go with Innova once again.

And in this confusion stage, I've got a call from Kaikan Ford that I'll be getting my Ecosport delivery in the next week. Color: Blue, variant: Diesel Trend (it has just shipped from Chennai).

So, if anyone is interested but hit by the long queue, can take my booking at NO EXTRA COST....
Also if you are interested in any other variant/color and want my booking, can contact me as basically I've booked it with Variant option "Open" (Trend/Titanium/Optional), color option: Silver/Grey/Blue/White. I hope my booking(for Titanium) will also make it's place in the next shipment.
You can reach me at my mail: sikdar.sourav@gmail.com

Regards,
Sourav
Hi Sourav I was not aware that someone else can take your booking. Will the dealer or Ford allow this?

Took my car near ecr yesterday and while returning we were 6 of us there in the car with 4 at the back!
Though obviously it was a very tight fit, It was easily manageable for the 70 odd kms ride back home.3 can make it easily.

Crossed 3000 kms today:)

IMG_20130902_172822.jpg

3000 km update !
Significants:
Niggles : Have got a small paint peel off in the scuff area. Culprit must be me or the person who cleans the car thrice a week. (Sorry @1980rs500 forgot the pic )

Rattle : once heard a very irritating rattle noise and had my heart in my mouth hearing it. stopped the car, searched from where I got the noise from and the culprit was a 1 re coin [:D] after removing it, no rattles. Even today tested it but did not hear anything. Sound insulation is truly top notch and the paints too.

Performance : Asks for more and more every time I press the pedal. Even though it has almost crossed the run in, I do not go more than 2000 rpm. Sweet love you see [;)]

Handling : Truly awesome for me! very light steering at single digits and hard at highs. that said, high speed cornering must be taken with care owing to the high CG.

1 st free service : Nothing except top ups and the AC performance has visibly improved after the first service. At fan speed of 1, it chills everyone so well better than how it was before!

Practicality : very flexible storage area gave us enough space for a weekend trip for 4, a rice bag of 25kgs and the compact dimensions help a loooooot during parkings and zipping through traffics.

Overall :
Very happy with the little monster and happier for booking her right on the first day the booking started.

Vicky,
Great to hear that your car is serving you well. :)
Have you noticed any difference in the way the engine feels after running in?

Great going vicky90. Is the leather steering wheel cover official Ford accessory or you got it from after-market ?

Great to see uou carried 6 adults in Ecosport for 70kms. Did you notice any sagging of your monster's butt when loaded to that extent ?

I got them aftermarket :)
And no pitching that disrupted the setup in the cabin but very bad bumps sent in some disturbances and a big speed breaker did give a very mild scrap as the boot was also fully loaded. Thanks to the stiff suspension as a softer one would have scraped badly.

Hi vicky

Just wanted to know the place from where you got the leather steering cover and its cost. My wait seems to be never ending. Wrote a mail to Ford asking any the delivery date. Waiting for a proper response. Meantime looking for accessories. But the price hike is eating into my budget for accessories like the alloy wheels

I got them at Leo car accessories which is beside Express avenue. Trust me bro get the accessories at one shot because later you won't get much time or other commitments would creep up blocking this. I got them as a combo of seat covers and steering cover which came to around 9000.

Third button opens the boot ???!!!!??? Its just a dummy button for trend variant and I think you are referring to the tit variant. And ya, the pick up is getting better everyday and its really super cool to drive and overtake.

Thats a killer rahul! Waiting for your mods to be done and to know the performance after that. And ya, during my trip to banglore I pushed her once to 140 while chasing a duster and people inside were not able to find that I was pushing her to that speed [evil]! 170kmph is super fast to say the least for Indian roads. Careful buddy.

i dont know how ecosport owners will feel at 170kmph wid 205 tyre size but with 225 hankook tyre its like doing 120kmph at 170kmph.
