Guys, one thing which annoys me during the monsoons in my polo was that the windshield forms mist from outside when A/C is on. So I have to turn it off & open the windows. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this.
So I have found a solution for this from an aftermarket shop here. They are providing a Car Glass Sealant by which the water nor the droplets get stuck on the windshield. It slides all the way down or up considering the speed one is travelling. Infact, you don't even need to put on the wipers during rains.
Just check out this link & also the video to get a better idea.
Pureshield Range of Nanotechnology Products

My dad is interested in this & might get it installed. It costs 1500 bucks, but since the shop owner knows us well. He has decided to provide at 1200.
The only thing I wasn't impressed was that it lasts only 1 year or 10,000kms. So, it isn't a lifetime option!
Weill jihu123, its not just the Polo. It happens in almost every car during the monsoons. Due to the temperature difference, the moisture gets accumulated. For example, If the air in the room where the glass of water is, is humid enough, then when it touches the cold glass the low temperature causes the water vapor to become liquid. Same way as, if you are in an old house with only single-glazed windows, and it's chilly outside, but warm inside, there will be condensation on the inside of the window pane. Or, sitting in a car with the windows closed, just breathing on a cold day will cause the inside to fog up.

The car glass sealant thing looks good but i don't really know how good they will be in preventing the formation of moisture on the windscreen. They look more to be repelling the snow and rain droplets off the screen, but its the temperature difference and the humidity in the air which causes the moisture on the windscreen. I think you should check it out first in a car which has this sealant solution on a rainy day and then take the plunge of getting it on your Polo if its effective.

I think it will be more appropriate to say, time to change the wiper blades? [confused]
Changed the wiper blades already, but i get these after replacing these wiper blades from MASS and sorry i forgot to mention this.

Should rectify this problem, are you facing this issue too?

Hmm, I had a doubt about that earlier. Will get this doubt cleared before installing it!

It must be due to the windshield being dry. When wipers go over dry windshield, it damages the wiper blades & windshield as far as I know!
Have you installed the glass sealant?

It happened on Wednesday. Was going to bangalore from kannur (about 330kms).
My dad was the one who was driving. While he was overtaking a learners car. From the opposite side, a bike was overtaking with his lights on. So to avoid crashing the bike my dad tilted the steering to the left side & had a slight crash with the learners car (MS 800). Nothing major though. Have attached the pics.

After about 15 mins from this incident. An auto came & hit his front tyre on my car's rear tyre in traffic. Was really annoyed when he started telling that it was not his fault. Argued with him & after making him realise that its his mistake. We left from there.

Am confused whether to claim the insurance or not. My dad didn't claim it even once. Hence, every year the insurance premium gets reduced.
Can anyone give some information about the pro's & con's of claiming an insurance?

First get a quote from VW, If it is manageable to you, then you can pay. Otherwise go for claim.

If you claim the amount, next time while renewing the insurance, you won't get NCB(Non claim bonus). you need to pay the full insurance amount.

I think apart from that there is no con's in calming insurance.
