Got an Appointment fixed to increase the GC next Thursday at Volkswagen, Calicut. As per them, the car needs to be left there & can be collected the next day. I don't know why they require about 1 day to change the springs. [sad]
Thought of getting it done from Kannur, but they still don't have stock & is saying that will call you once the stock comes. I am very disappointed with them coz I have been waiting for more than 1 month or so.

gave the car day before yesterday morning (thursday) for increasing the ground clearance at VW showroom, calicut. They offered to do a General Service for 2500. So accepted that too!
Brought it home yesterday evening. Everything was free including the general service [:D]. Also, bought a new rear parcel tray for Rs 1400!
Bad news is that the brake pad has been worn out & it will require a change within 2-3k kms!

About the GC, there is a slight noticeable increase from the exterior. Haven't drove much after that to tell about the handling & pothole issues! Will update those later! [:)]

Great, please replace the brake pads first.
And did the service center people agreed to raise the GC of the car? Won't it affect warranty?

Since some of the polo customers complained about the low GC issue in polo. The new polo comes with better GC than the old one.
Since VW didn't want to disappoint the old customers, VW gave an option for increasing the GC (change of springs) to the old customers too for free if the car is under the warranty period! [clap]

Could you please post some pictures of the pre and post modified suspension
yeah [roll]. Will post it up soon!

That's a nice thought of serving a customer, [:)] please do share the experiences after driving with increased GC after some days.

Yeah it certainly is. The car performs just the same, no body roll or issues with handling at speeds of 60-80kmph. High speed requires me to go somewhere far from here (Traffic). [thinking]

Now, am searching for the old pic to compare. I remember taking the picture but don't know where I stored it. Seems to be lost! [embarass]

Guys, need help soon. I am in kodaikanal now with my lovely polo about 390kms away from home.
So yesterday after reaching here through lots off ups & downs and revs upto about 3k. I have noticed that my rpm needle at idle is above 1k. It used to be 0.9k rpm at idle without ac & at 1k rpm with ac. Right now, its idling between 1 & 1.1k rpm. Is it normal in cold conditions or uphills?
I am a bit worried now. Need replies soon. [:)]

I don't think it is a problem. Infact, if it is idling at 1.1k RPM, you would find it easy to pull from halt.

I guess no one has used it so far. It looks interesting but I would rather prefer the analog speedometer anyday.
Are you planning to get it?
