If TML had given reliable suspension setup we can go for 195/55R16 but this OE suspension is not capable

Corrosion problem is really worrisome .Now what is the solution for it .?

I haven't came across corrosion spots in my car, might be because of dry weather inv Pune.
Weather in your city must be humid .But Tatas needed to take care of all types of weather.

What is that metal sound you heard from the steering ? Did you hear this sound whenever you turn right or left?
Or you heard this sound occasionally?

@2011_drivetech4: only when the right front wheel alone goes into potholes or road change or small patches.
They changed the Rack&pinion setup for that but metal sound is reduced but the suspension is not having action on small patches and potholes.

@Tornado: those points they have not welded that gap inbetween the outer sheet and frame should be welded properly or should have be pasted and painted but STUPID TML and team never does and its there in Vista and my friends vehicle also one by one we are giving them for painting.

If your car is under warranty do report the corrosion factor to TASS/TML. Even as in weather in Chennai/Mumbai, this should not occur. There are many other Manza owners in Mumbai or Kolkata I know, but have not heard this before. Do you park your car in open ?

I am surprised because Manza and now Vista has then best paint quality in TATA cars as it uses same paint shop as Punto and Linea

@paint is also not good may be finish is better than other all tml product paint fades after 1 yr to avoid that you have to make teflon regularly hope you have seen the snaps

@maran,

get your caliper pin checked. It is not available as spare. It loosens a little bit and then the caliper will vibrate leading to rattling sound in the front wheel. Ask them to remove the pin, braze it and refit. It will stop the caliper vibration.

To know if this is cause of rattling, you drive through the rough with brakes half applied. If the sound vanishes then its the pin.

And TATA has the best paint facility in India. Us people living in the coast have to live with this problem. Paint fading off early.

@navneet ji : I'll check for the clipers but there are problem with the suspension also as the acrion is very less comparing the left wheel and for that tmls states that all steering related components are in right and hence only you get all these problem and there ae no solution.

Paint facility may be true but why does all tml vehicles fade soon comparing others? Why are they not giving warrent for paint as vw?

See the snaps there is gap between the door panel and the outer sheet that should be welded or pasted before paint and tml engineers them self accept it and doing all the vehicles free of cost without questions or conditions

These days they dont weld the outer panel to the inner as far as doors are concerned. They just glue it. The gap there will not do any harm as it is in the outside of the rubber beeding (weather beeding). As for the corrosion part I told you, we people who live in the coast have to live with it.

The painting/rework looks very poor. What is that thing in the headlamp? In your earlier post, you mentioned about corrosion in other cars. What happened to them?
When I gave Vista for a dent removal in the hatch, the whole hatch door was painted again. The work was very good. I was satisfied. Same shining colour as compared to the other areas. Corrosion issues in 1 year old Manza is a cause of concern.
Were you washing car daily with hard water (chennai)? I use only a soft cloth to clean the car & wash with water once in 2 weeks. My friends tell me that this is the best practice to keep the car neat & clean. I too think the same. Why dont you try a different TASS to solve your issues?
