I will be getting delivery of my Zdi+ in a week or so. Contemplating to change OEM 195x55R16 with Michelin 205X55R16. One of the aftermarket dealer has asked for 15K additional in exchange for 4 tyres.I am presuming from the threads above that OEM will be goodyears.
1.Is it a good choice?
2.Is it a good deal?
3.How much increase in GC can i expect..at least theoretically?

I have driven my CIAZ Zdi for around 450 kms now and this is my experience with it till now:

1. Performance: I have driven it in Mumbai (through both highway and bumper to bumper traffic). The ride has been pretty comfortable in both situations. Though the engine is 1.3 diesel, it does not feel under powered. Trust me the engineers at Maruti have done a very good job. No lag at all on highways.

2. Mileage: After my first full tank, I have driven 350kms and still the fuel consumption meter shows that a little less than 3/4th tank is utilized meaning more than 1/4th is left.

3. Suspension: They do a good job absorbing most of the bumps on the way.

4. Pick Up : Like I told in the performance point, does not feel its under powered. On the highways its still among the first ones to lead (Prior to this I was using 2011 I20 CRDI Asta and that was a beast too). Having driven the I20, I am satisfied with the performance of Ciaz though the engine is 1.3.

regards
Rahul.

Hi Team,

I am getting my new Ciaz ZXI this weekend, just getting my accessories list finalized. Any feedback on original speakers because I saw Hertz speakers with amplifier with output of 270 W at dealer's end. Pair cost's around Rs.9000/- am thinking of getting all 4 changed. Any feedback.

Secondly my car has MRF tyres are they OK.

Hi Bajaj,

The car audio system is pretty good. I have not seen the Hertz one but I am not sure putting Rs. 9000 extra is really needed.

My car has GoodYear (ZDI). I did not know ZXI comes with MRF.

You get faux wood side arms at around 5.5k. I am planning to get those once the dealer has in stock. And it genuine maruti accessory.

Hi,

What you are saying is 'internal styling kit', I am getting that done as well. Here's the list of accessories that I am planning to go for:
1. Internal styling kit
2. Door sill guard
3. Window Chrome
4. Bumper rubber protector
5. Side body color rubber protector
6. Plastic mat to cover my floor mats
7. Steering cover
8. Back chrome strip
9. Hertz speakers - Not sure

Hi every one,
I took delivery of my VXi+ Silky Silver CIAZ on 12th of December 2014. I have driven about 1100 km till date out of which there is a long trip to Agra and back from Delhi.

I have no complaints so far and don't expect any.
Just one point I would like to add however is that there is perceptible sway of the body even with slight movement outside. If you are moving slowly on a flyover it appears as if the car is rocking. I am intending to get the suspension checked by my dealer's engineer ( PASCO Gurgaon).

The average mileage shown on the odometer is 17.5km pl. During the highway trip I got about 18.2 kmpl.
CIAZ petrol car is generally a good car and value for money.

I bought a Ciaz ZXI pearl snow white petrol just before Modi decided to get rid of excise duty exemption, so saved some 30-40k. Also since diesel has been deregulated, there is absolutely no point in buying a diesel car any more. Within 8-12 months from now, diesel prices will equal petrol prices, since diesel prices are no more controlled by the government. More ache-din to come I guess.

Anyways, I have driven all cars (Vento, Ecosport, Sail, Citi etc) in this segment and came to the conclusion that none of these beat Ciaz. The closest competition came from Vento, but after driving both the petrol and diesel variants (Highline), I felt Vento's suspension sucked compared to Ciaz, the clutch felt hard and there was slight vibration from the clutch pedals, no dead pedal (come on!! and they say this is a drivers car!! [frustration]) etc.

The only grouse I have with Ciaz is the braking system. Compared to Citi's feather touch braking (or even Ecosport), Ciaz fairs very poorly. And the build quality cannot be compared to Vento's of course. Ciaz weighs just 1010kg, which explains the high mileage, but at the cost of build quality.

Apart from that, just love the car. It isn't under powered at all. I got leather steering covers, puncture kit, floor mats for free from Sagar Bangalore. I also did not pay the Rs 3000+ quoted as "accessories" in the price chart and got it free.

Hi Ketan, The Ciaz with DRLs looks awesome and with Angel Eyes its heavenly undoubtedly. Somehow, the chrome part is not complementing the beauty buddy. Is it possible to remove this add-on chrome in lower part?

I was told that getting DRLs from market would void warranty as it involves cutting wires. I have put Phillips ones from MGA, look good:-)

Awesome mods ji! Looks great and stunning with those DRLs and Angel eyes![clap]
The chrome on the lower grille air dam is good, but the strip on the chin edge isn't so good. Happy motoring!
