11 months and 16500 kms on the Odo. Enjoying every drive especially after the remap.

The low end has improve quite a lot, I am happy that even after remap and with more torque and power the mileage remains the same. I am able to extract 14-16 kmpl which is good for this car.

Yesterday 2nd service was done, nothing major done, all door aligned & lubricated, airfilter changed, and suspension was checked and lubricated for thud noise issue.

Tires are getting eaten up very fast, I guess due to soft compound. May be it would last another 5-7k kms. [frustration]

Since there was a slight vibration in the steering when turned lock to lock I got the HPS oil changed to synthetic (DIY) and the steering is smoother now.

Nothing added in past few months, except a reverse camera and a bottle holder.
Almost 2 weeks once both enjoy's meet.. few pic's.[;)]

Good snaps Bro. Which tire brand are you running ?

Tires worn out within 20000 is strange & something could be wrong with suspension, wheel bearings or even alignment. At minimum tires should last 35000 kms even if it is soft compound. Mine is Michelin Primacy LC, which again is softer tyre. But even after 24k kms, I don't see any signs of wear. They look for another 25k kms.

I am running Yoko ES100's . Wheel alignment done 4 times till now. If it has bearing or suspension issue the wire would have uneven wear. But this has even wear and I could see the difference easily between the front and rear tires.
This could be because of use on bad roads and driving style too [evil]

Congrats Varun. Hope you had a wonderful year of 'Enjoy'ment. We are hoping to join the en-joy bandwagon soon.

BTW I am surprised to know that you are getting only 14-16 kmpl mileage. When i enquired with the local taxi operators of our area they are consistent in saying that they get 17- 18 kmpl - and that too when run with 4 or 5 passengers onboard and their luggage, in hilly terrains like Thekkady and Kumily. Are they taking me for a ride?

Are you using your Enjoy mostly in city driving conditions?
Would like to know your valuable response

Hi Saji, Thanks for your comments.

I usually use A/C 90% of time, also my enjoy is re-mapped for better power and also has wider tires. So the mileage is bit less. I am happy with what I am getting. [:D]
Even I have heard people extracting 20kmpl too. [surprise]

I use my 800 for city, usually use the enjoy for long drives. Parking a big car in Bangalore is a big problem. The mileage remains same even city drives.

Happy Car anniversary, Varun560061.

After Innova, the best 3rd row seat & overall cabin space was best seen by me in Enjoy. My friend let me use his Enjoy for few days while hunt for new car by me. My family most appreciate this car for 3rd row seat luxury. Probably reason for rear boxy look is to provide good headroom for 3rd seat passengers. Its truly family & vfm 7/8 seater vehicle.

Wish many safe & happy mile to come, along with innovative mods.

Finally the D Day. Chevy Enjoy completes 1 year. All we got from this machine is Happiness , Enjoyment of traveling together. Traveling distances which could not be done earlier. And with the remap it gives me [:D] every drive.

I still feel its just out of the show room.
Over the period I have done some basic mods as per my taste in which many are the basic needs. I have added OEM spoiler, rear wiper, roof rails, OEM fog lamps etc.
The mods pending are a set of alloys (after this set of tires are worn out) and a better seat covers (I regret getting OEM seat covers) they are really bad looking. These mods will take some time but sure will make it a head tuner. [evil]

thanks for all your support and special thanks to Vishwas...

Congrats for completing a year of enjoyment! I am pretty sure this is going to continue for lacs of miles to come.
That spoiler is such a nice addition. I am waiting for the wheel modifications. Keep crunching miles.

Re: My New Chevrolet Enjoy

Here is a long time pending DIY. Since mine is a Ls model the last row dint have the head rests/ restraints. Got Wagonr's type 2 rear head rests and fixed them Total cost 710 rs.

Part No's -

Head restraint - 86401M67K00-PA2 - 321 rs
Guides - 85840M81A10-P4Z - 16 rs each (4 no's)

Will upload some clear pic's later..
Gone through whole thread, gone through all mods & its comments, but but but, this mod - wallahhhhhhh. I would have never believed unless I had seen it. So simple but so useful as head rest & big security thing (it prevent neck spine injury in case of bang from back).

This is the thing troubling me, as last seat row in Rexton is bench/sofa without headrests (though Rexton available in UK/SA had Innova-like headrests in 3rd row seats). I am thinking to have 50:50 seats with head rests/restraints in 3rd row, but that will be herculean task, but this mod is so simple but utterly helpful. I sure to get it checked whether 3rd row has holes to fit the guide, otherwise weld two rods to accommodate the guides. I don't expect expert "modder" like you in my area, but will try.

Rexton as available in India (with 3rd seat as plain sofa)

Rexton W as available in Australia/New Zealand/UK etc

I hardly use 3rd row seat & keep it folded, but in such a lovely & premium car, such unthinkable poor design thing keeps annoying me.
@Mod, pl merge this thread with previous one, as finding overseas photo took > 30 min, sorry.

Hi Varun
I would like to get a clarification from the 'horse's mouth' itself.

I learnt from comparing the features of different brands that Enjoy has one of the least ground clearances - 165 mm only.

Is this really a matter of concern? Does the undercarriage get scraped at almost every gutter (like the first Fiat Lineas).

I know that you have inserted a suspension stiffener in the coil springs. Was that done to save your 'under belly'

Expect an expert opinion from the GURU

thanks n regards
Saji
