Congrats buddy. One thing I love about the polo is it never feels dated! [:)]
Agree. Neither does it look dated nor feel dated inside. Everything seems new.

Finally we get to see some new pics of your red beauty Rightnow.[:)] Car is looking absolutely brilliant. As good as new. And 35k in under 2years is a lot of running for a petrol car. Kudos to you for still sticking to the driver oriented fuel even in these times of sky high fuel prices. How are the tyres fairing out now? Did you get the alignment checked?
When I purchased polo I never knew the running would increase. Anyways I don't regret coz I am pooling car these days, which has reduced the fuel cost as compared to before.
Tyres are doing just okay, not enough bite . It appears as if they have become more prone to punctures. Is it because of aging?

That car looks as good as new. She's so pure and calm. [:D]
Thanks. To me it looks quite aggressive rather than calm!!

Hi Rightnow, did you manage to get hands on the under hood insulation material? any update on that as i too want them.
No dude. I have given up asking that workshop guy. Even he has run out of excuses now!! Anyways, I think the new petrol models already have this insulation, isn't it?

Hi you all,

I have read this thread to each details. I have also booked Polo Highline P with VW Gurgaon this weekend.
I am getting 10K discount (including 2K corporate discount) + free mud flaps and matts + 30% off on an accessory package (dorr sills + leatherite seat covers). Is it a good deal?

I am also bit apprehensive about open space in engine area (bottom is quite blank) and also noise insulation. DId anybody faced any problems w.r.t these things? Any thing I should take care of while buying this car? Any suggestions on must-have accessories?

Please advice.

Thanks.

Try to get 3 yrs AMC which is being offered these days.
Get the vin no. Or chassis no. from your dealer and decode the manufacturing month and year details.
No need to worry on engine bay part. Noise insulation is already at its best and I think new polo models are getting inside bonnet insulation too which may take care of engine noise to an extent.
Best of luck. Come back if you have any other queries.

If you want noise insulation, get the under body coated by 3M.Go for the 5 year package, the thickness of the coating helps in lowering road noise. They have checkups every 6 months. It protect the underbody from rust and stone chips and also help with reducing road noise.

The empty space in the engine area is common with a lot of cars.If your car bottoms out on humps then you can get a sump guard like the ones used in SUV's and also get spacers for the suspension to increase the ground clearance(GC).

I am to get delivery sometime in Aug and this offering on AMC and stuff will end on 25th July. I will be eligible for offers running in August.
Also - am I getting the right discount and other details?

Also - where in NCR can I get this 3M coating done?

You are eligible for all discount/schemes which are prevalent at time of BOOKING not at time of delivery. Call your dealer and ask for AMC.

do you by any means felt at any point of time that polo's 1.2 engine with 3-pot motor is not adequate (less powered) --- fully loaded or just the driver?

Friends have raised their eyebrows on this one possible and potential problem with polo 1.2?

Yes polo is slow, or say underpowered. Please have test drive and decide

Get the balancing and alignment done and also get the tires rotated.

Also the tires have minute cracks in them between the treads. You might be looking at a tire replacement.

Hello, hope your polo is doing good? Any changes or major part change required?
Also wanted to ask, is the HU Music System on your dashboard the stock one?
I remember someone changing it here but don't remember who.

Hey
My polo is doing good. Done around 39500 Kms.
Everything on my car is stock, even the HU. I would be changing tyres soon coz they have got so many punctures and front right tyre has got a minor crack too.

If you want to get a new HU then you can get the Map my India touch unit or the new RCD 320 coming in new models of polo.
