I have got the new tyres today. Bridgestone touranza ER 300, 185/60/R15.
congratulations.
Old apollo tyres went away without fetching me a dime. Supposedly all four apollo were bubbled (uneven surface).
Despite bubbles, you didn't suffered any accident, I feel, you earned more than enough from them.
For handling and performance, I have to spend some more time with them I think.
Handling is main benefit of asymmetrical tires especially in wet conditions.
Thanks to jar, tornado and others for making it simple.
No need to mention , buddy, it is our duty to help each other.

You're welcome, Rightnow.Take it easy on the tires for the first 1000kms so they break in properly. Some tires tend to be extra noisy and less grippy during the first 1000kms, this will improve as you clock more kilometers on them.

I read your thread for manza tyres, and could figure out the two BS tyres that you have named above. Even I am inclined towards ER300. Any critical parameter that ER 300 don't do good in? I mean What can be possible disadvantage of ER300?

If upsizing affects only speedo readings then I can upsize but if FE decreases by upsizing then I won't.
Hi Mate,

I have upsized my polo from 175/70/R14 to 205/55/R16, just letting you know that there was no significant FE drop (significant means you wont consider in the real time, may be half or 0.75 kmpl).

May be off the Topic:
And one thing I dont understand is trendline has 175 mm and highline comes with 185, so highline should be giving less mileage (if the FE drop and wider tires are proportional, some people comments you will loose at least 2kmpl [surprise]). The same case in swift, LDI is with 165mm and ZDI with 185 mm (20 mm more) so ZDI will give less mileage than LDI, Why companies should sell their full option models with less FE to the customers ?

Did your car go for the 2nd service? If yes, what was the bill? I guess your AMC is paying off very well. Now buyers can't buy AMC off shelf. AMC is available only for customers taking VW finance.

Now that I have spent around 5k kmswith new tyres- Bridgestone touranza ER 300, 185/60/R15, time for a short review.

These tyres are comfortable but handling and road grip is pretty bad. At low speeds they are comfortable but at high speeds they can't stand small undulations and tend to wobble the car.

I am planning to change them soon becoz they have sort taken away the fun of driving. What tyres do you guys suggest for better handling and firm road grip?

Oh. thanks for posting the review mate. My tyres would require change in few months. I was thinking about Bridgestone but now, I think I'll search for something else. [:)]

First of all sorry for not showing on forum for so many years, I was really busy with my work.
I wanted to show and tell you something which did put me to shock and lot of anger.
Yesterday when I was coming back from my workplace to reach the car in parking( parked on road side) , I noticed lots of shoe marks on bonnet and roof and I was [surprise] and [anger]
Let me show you the pictures first ...

What will the person get after doing this .. happiness !

What possible damages my car would have?
Should I wax my car roof and bonnet after this ?
If this was intentional what possible areas I should look for damage?

That's really shocking. I have never heard a case like this. Some morons just don't respect others cars. They don't realise the value of a car to others.

I don't think any possible damage would arise out of this. Just wash your car thoroughly & inspect for marks or scratches and wax if needed.

Hi Rightnow,
I've bought a Polo 1.2 petrol highline in last december 2013. Recently I left my vehicle for rear bumper change for two weeks in service center at Bareilly, U.P. and then brought the vehicle to home. Next day when I have started the vehicle, I have noticed vibrations through the driver seat after starting the vehicle is in stationary. Handbrake on, no pedals pressed. Then I took it to the service centre once again for free checkup (VW fest) by last week and I mentioned this complaint to rectify the problem. They said it will be done. When I went evening to collect the vehicle on the same day, I have noticed the same vibrations and asked it is not done. They said that we checked through VWASS and no problem was detected and vibrations will be their in all polo cars. I brought the vehicle to home. But today even while driving I could notice the same. I opened the bonnet and could see the engine is vibrating. I'd like to get this checked out but wonder if anyone has any clues as to why it should be doing it. Thanks for any suggestions so I can investigate further.
