Maruti had priced Z+ versions at 60k premium than the Z versions.

At Chennai the prices work out to be:

ZDi+: Rs.10,83,948/- (ZDi: Rs. 10,20,817/- )
VXi+: Rs. 8,20,868/- (Vxi: Rs: 7,62,332/-)
I have seen the ad today in telugu newspaper
Z+ Variant officially appears in MSIL homepage.
Friends, here is the pic of the Silver Zdi+ that is one of the 1st Ciaz in my Sector in Noida. This car has been parked at owner's home since past 1.5 months. Earlier there was a Maroon Zdi+ with same owner for 2 months.i.e approx the time when Ciaz was launched officially.

Apparently, there are many Ciaz seen on the streets of Pune, and looking at responses here in TAI, looks like same is the case with every city in India.

My feelings: The projector headlamps look quite good and chrome grill adds some premiumness. The sheer length of Ciaz adds to the road presence, which is much required for this category of cars.

But the rear design though looks good, is a bit bulky, and tail lamp illumination during night doesn’t look good either. Side profile is not inspirational and is plain Jane.

Does it look any better than City? Absolutely No! City looks more sporty and contemporary externally, and has better road presence than Ciaz on any day. Especially City tail lights at night look fabulous & class worthy.

Things changes at least for me, when I look inside. Ciaz interiors feels more premium than City, thanks to the waterfall dashboard with wooden finish inserts. The HU for ICE looks far better integrated than the tacky HU of City which looks out of place on a large piano black background, which is now available even in Alto [;)]

MSIL did a grave mistake by not marketing Ciaz well and by taking customers granted. Boy, this was not an upgrade of Swift & Dezire, where people would jump to grab one. This (C2) was the failed territory (SX4 & Baleno) for MSIL, and looks like they were least prepared for it. First, they should have launched Ciaz with all variants including ZDI+ & auto tranny. Second, enough cars should have been ready before the launch. Third, there was no proper communication to the buyers who pre-booked. Fourth, no dealer (still) has clear information about the ZDI+ & auto box. They are just busy in convincing & selling mid variants.

Now there are advertisements for the ZDI+ with touch screen & all, and soon we will see adds even for autobox. But now, it’s difficult to build the same kind of interest amounts people/buyers for Ciaz.

IMO, City will still remain the first choice due to better engines and better snob value.

Boss. 12lacs on road VMT @Punjab & includes 20K worth accessories. Got of the shelf immediately.[;)] :biggrin:mjust told them that I have already booked a Ciaz. Seriously they were aggressive enough to bag my order. This is what MSIL guys were missing. They left me with no communication. when I was most vulnerable.

Congratulations for your new Ride, City is good choice considering all factors.

Guys, Is MSIL going a SCODA way for the Ciaz? Maruti dealers never felt so arrogant & uninformed for any other model than Ciaz in the past.

Congrats missionmanali!!! City is definitely an excellent car!!! Awaiting your ownership thread.

Wonder how many potential customers are going away from Maruti like you did. Hope you did not have any hassles in getting back your booking amount from Maruti.

Ciaz sports Version apart from spoiler, skirting will aslo get a bigger set of tyres and different alloy wheels too are a part of this package. The interior styling will also be trendy and maybe it will get black upholstery.
The Ciaz RS will be offered along with the same 1.3-litre DDiS engine and for petrol it will be the 1.4-litre petrol. However, to improve the fuel-efficiency of the diesel, Ciaz diesel will start and stop to enhance its current ARAI mileage, which is at 26.21km/l.

2 things required only:

* Black boot-lid to be same as body color

* Instead of this elevated spoiler, a lip one would suit better.

Regards

Akash
I never liked the normal version but looking at the above pic , the first word came to my mind was wow [:D] i think that spoiler looks amazing , lid spoiler looks only on some cars but this wing spoiler plus side skirts looks amazing [thumbsup]

Maruti Suzuki's C (A3) segment car , Ciaz - the story so far.
1423583562-7378.jpg

The Ciaz carves a Success story so far in a segment that was elusive to Maruti.
Around 88 per cent of Ciaz buyers are male. But less than one-third of the buyers are below the age of 35 years. The company's research says that 45 per cent of the buyers considered competitors, while 45 per cent were determined to buy the Ciaz
But Competition in this segment is not sitting quiet, we have seen Hyundai which was the most affected, as seen in its Verna's sales figures, will be launching the face lift version shortly. Maruti is fully aware of this and will be releasing more variants and features in form of Sports kit etc to be in the game.

Now it is very clear come 2016 we will definitely see the Ciaz with the 1.5 diesel and possibly a new turbo petrol too in the mid life face lift of Ciaz.

Maruti is now concentrating on the S Cross, YRA and YBA apart from the Celerio diesel and face lifts, it will focus shortly on the Ciaz upgrade in 2016.

More clarity on the engines will be as we see the power trains of S Cross and Maruti's premium hatch YRA as it is unveiled globally on March 3rd.
