Maruti Suzuki Swift: Technical Issues & Solutions

My car has clocked it 10k km,my clutch is having a slight krrrr sound when pressed,no play difference,or effect with drive(My friend noticed).
Any issues?
It is very common problem in swift and dzire, clutch pedal plastic bush makes that noise. There is no concrete solution for this but you can spray thick graphite spray grease to the bush. It is advisable to change clutch cable at 20K because sometimes worn out clutch cable misleads to worn out cover assembly. If you feel your clutch hard even after clutch cable replacement then you definitely needs cover assembly replacement along with plate and release bearing.

Mods,I really don't know if this issue comes under technical or manufacturing issue. So ,please change it to the corresponding thread as you may choose.My 2014 Swift Vxi gave a surprise when we came to know that the Engine mount broke off while going over a small pothole. Engine mount was redone by welding and a new U bolt was used to connect the engine to the body. Isn't this a manufacturing defect? I feel the light body of Swift is not strong enough,if the engine mount break of on a 2 inch deep crater. Add to that,the service guys kept the vehicle for 4 days to get the U bolt and they charged for everything. Is it safe to use this car now?

Thanks to Mr.Suryaputhra for his Exact comment and solution for my clutch issue.
I took my car to My ASS here,as i have mentioned the floor in charge is my close friend,he checked the car,first he sprayed a mixture of graphite spray +lubricant on the pedal bush,checked for sound by pressing the clutch repeatedly ,the sound just subsided ,but returned after 10th time ,he then applied grease on linings ,then too sound persisted,he had advices me to get replaced the clutch cable,as when we checked by opening the bonnet,the clutch cable was short of lubricant(Grease),and i had asked him whetehr the same could be replaced .He told it can be replaced ,but warranty won't be applicable for Cable,though if problem repeats the sleeve assembly would be covered under warranty.
He told it will come within 500 rupees and labour charge he will incorporate within warranty.

As today i dropped the car too late at 5pm,nothing could be done,and i need my car for 2 days,so planning to give this weekend.
Need your opinion Mr.Suryaputhra

Hello everyone,
I got swift ZDI back in 2013 but unfortunately had accident following year. Workshops here in Srinagar couldn't correct the faults of car up mark, as a result the car doesn't perform good and of late doesn't perform at all. Guys suggest some good Maruti service stations in Punjab, preferably in Chandigarh or pathankot. Car has some issue releated to engine head and injectors, generates lots of noise and half the orginal power. I'm planning to go to Punjab next month, so any help is welcome.
Ps. Car is in 4th year and extended warranty

After replacing clutch cable no problems will come, after replacing clutch cable adjust clutch free play correctly that's all. If you are ok with noise leave it.

The problem lies with engine head and injectors, cars emits a lot of noise and very less power output. Actually technicians here broke the bolt connecting taper cover and head and drilled it out informing me. I don't wanna reissue or here in J&K as I don't trust the credibility of technicians here now

I'm not OK with noise at all as that is not the only issue, power of car is considerably low due to missing issue which I presume is due to engine head malfunctioning. I totally don't feel that turbo push at 2000 rpm, even I struggle to overtake most of the times as car doesn't respond. Also worth mentioning I can hear a hissing sound, as if pressure is leaking out from somewhere, when I start the car. But I'm sure the problem lies with engine head, taper cover and injectors, I still have extended warranty applicable, 2013 model car.

The clutch noise repeated again today,took to the ASS immediately.

Complaints noted-
Problem doesn't occur during cold start,it occurs only after the car rides for sometime.

At ASS-

Reached ASS at 830am,handed the car to service bay incharge(Who's my close friend),he put 3 mechanics onto duty ,they took the car into a bay.
Clutch cable was inspected ,no wear and tear and lubricant was also there(Grease).

My friend came inside customer lounge and had told me the clutch assembly needs an inspection and it will take about a day or two.As i wasn't prepared for such a scenario,i asked whether the work can be done within the day itself,he replied he will try his level best.
I went inside the bay and removed the items in dash as per my friend's instruction.
I waited some more time as one of my another friend was about to pick me up from there.

At 1030-
I was served hot coffee ( Rain +Coffee - Yummy)[:)]

The vehicle's tyres where removed , gear+clutch assembly was demounted.

The clutch assembly was opened and was seen that -
Pressure plate was as brand as new, no wear in any components ,except the mounting portion where the clutch cable and drive links up,had bit of debris, as per my friend's instruction ,the mechanics cleaned each components `with antirust spray and was lubed up.

Reassembly started by 1230, and 1 pm was lunch break.After the break work resumed,a tiny error occured while fixing the Steering linkage ,the Airbag module related component popped out ,and this was immediately corrected.The whole job was finished by 3pm.

Vehicle was first test ridden by my friend himself,he reported everything to be fine,and asked one of the technician to fix MID(As battery was removed ,clock settings were resetted)
The car was given to me for test ride , i asked my friend to adjust the play a bit more ,he did the same.
Though the play was only okay ,he had told me to drive with that to a 500-1000km,then the play will be set up once the car is brought to ASS(It's normal when we replace the clutch ,the play will be set only after 500-1000km,as i have done for my cousin's santro )

The job was done under warranty ,so not a single penny from my hand,i had asked the team of mechanics whether they will be paid or i must pay them with my friend,he told no issues as the company will provide their wage.


Overall after the service car has run about 20km,no fuss till now.
Hope everything is resolved.
