Nice pics by Manj...

Got a hit from a speeding bus coming from opposite. Crashed the right rear view mirror .

The back cover did not break, surprisingly, so less cost of repair. Thankfully.
Ohh that's too bad! Get it replaced from MGA itself! By the way, what did you do in that moment and situation?

yes scratched a bit but saved my Rs.3000/-, now got the repair work done from Maruti service centre itself.
Got the MGA glass for Rs.400/- and got it fixed in motor sockets as motor was fine and indicator light for Rs.1400/-. So, was satisfied with the job and prices of the repair.
I would have to go for the complete new setup if the back cover was broken.

what did you do in that moment and situation?
I was so angry but the bus driver didn't stop and ran away. After sometime I just thought that at least there was no other major damage. But felt so bad by looking this mirror. It hurted me as I luv my Ertiga [;)]

Hey ABI,

I recently had replaced my right ORVM mirror and indicator. In a service road one of the opposite taxi hit and ran away. I changed the glass for 400rs and led indicator for 1200rs. Initially they said whole unit need to be replaced but after I met Service Manager he said it can be done with just glass and indicator replacement.

Hi All,

I had been to Dharmasthala over the weekend. It was a 300 kms drive from bangalore.

Im happy to say that the ertiga performed so well on the 4 lane between blr-hassan(200 kms). It almost resembles the swift in the performance on highways. The kick from the VGT90 is something which you will remember of the first gen. swift.

It returned an excellent mileage too of 19 kml/litre with speeds ranging from 120-140 km/hr.

Since the ghat section between shaklehpur and dharmasthala had a really bad patch it took almost 2.5 hrs to cover 50 kms. Only on a broken road u feel that the car is light and u feel that the power is not adequate to pull in second gear.

The worst part is we reached dharmasthala at 11.30 pm saturday. To our surprise all the rooms were booked till morning 6 am sunday. we were assuerd a room at 6 next morning.

I just made a single bedroom out of my ertiga and I(5'9"), my wife(5'3") & my 2 kids 2yrs and 4 yrs slept for 5 hrs in our car folding the last 2 rows of seats. Most of the sedan buyers had to to be seated in there cars and relax since it was raining outside and there were no nearby towns to find rooms.I mentioning to indicate that how an excellent all-rounder it is..

Im very happy with my purchase.[clap]

Got the focus of headlamps adjusted from mss and "OMG" was my first reaction, when I saw the actual performance of my new Hella rally tubes.
Will be leaving for a 3 day Uttarakhand trip.
Will update when back. :)

Now that is called flexibility! No wonder this is the best family car!

Which one is better? 90/100 philips or Hella rally?

Flexibility is the best thing about Ertiga.. These are some configurations I have used:

Regular usage: 3rd row folded forwarded & used like a sedan with loads of boot space. Have taken out headrest of 3rd row to create more space for 2nd row. Had read sometime back about someone who had cut 2 - 3 inches of humps in the last row to maximize space in 2nd row. Anyone in this forum had thought / heard about it?

Long drives: 3rd row folded down & 2nd row small seat folded down to allow my son to stretch and sleep

7 Seater: For the office lunch trips and occasional trips with extended family

Luggage carrier: Had to delivery some stuff for which folded down both 2nd and 3rd rows and used like mini tempo

I heard there are people who fold down 2nd row, which allows passengers to stretch their legs over folded seats. Yet to try.

Vaanga Vanakkam Bala sir! Welcome to LUV family!
Have you ordered any accessories?
No big problem maintaining it... keep it clean outside and inside, add some fragrance inside!
Get a Waxpol polish to wipe scratches if needed.
I think you may need rear bumper for Madurai traffic.
Drive safe and always wear seatbelt! Enjoy every drive! share pics! [cheers]
By the way, enna color?
