When I bought my ertiga it came with a rear bumper has that changed?

But you never know considering it is a Maruti.Rear bumper could be optional

Hi, Just a off topic question.
Can we have front two tyres as tubeless and rear two tyres with tube in a small car like Maruti Zen?
Or shall all four tyres be of same type?

As long as all the tyres are of same size you should be good. In our previous Indica though we had all tubeless tyres, after couple of punctures and side wall damage, we had to install tube in tubeless tyres. No problem at all !

Just remember to use tires of the same tread pattern and size on the same axle.In simple terms the tire on the left and right should be identical.

If you use two different types of tires front and back then you won't be able to rotate the tires efficiently.The rotation can only be done side to side.Tubless tires are more beneficial in the front than in the rear since the car is FWD(front wheel drive).

Hey all !!!
Today sunday morning came as a shocker for me. When I got up I saw my Ertiga, which was parked in front of my house had a left side window glass broken. And that was not all what I saw inside and so on it kept me giving more and more shock.
The whole steering column was broken/damaged. The Body Control Module (BCM) was stolen, the bonnet was open with tampering of ECM unit which was out of the socket, Battery too was disconnected, the ignition lock was also broken that it could turn the engine on. On examining whole stuff we all (Maruti service advisors) concluded that the thief came with a view to steal the car but was not succeeded as technicians told us that diesel ECM have got passwords to start the engine, which is only provided by Maruti HO. I really don't know to what extent they are true. But if they are true then, in a way we guys can atleast take a pride that Maruti has got good quality immobilzer/security system. Else I think we could have got the car stolen today.

Right now it is in same condition in the service centre, waiting for insurance guys tomorrow and then only repair process can begin.

It was really shocking for me. I want to know are there any security system with GPS that can send calling/message alarms when tampering is done with car? I have heard there are but don't which company and where is it available?

Sorry to hear that.That's really horrible,i always fear,but your experience was little relief to me,at least Maruti build such robust Anti theft mechanism.
You mentioned that, it is was diesel ECM unit,what about petrol unit,to me it must be same.
Please keep us updated..

Offtopic but yesterday Night i washed my car,kept it below my window,got up early morning at 6 to find a Gutter lid(Made of Iron) was stolen,bought me nightmares,Last time similar incident i lost my Car stereo.Heavily worried.

it happened in Shivalik, Malviya nagar.

Still the repair work has not started due to insurance guy not coming for survey. He will come then give estimate and then only work can start. Missing my LUV. I think it will take time till Friday atleast for completing the job, or even more as they have to get all the spare parts also. Lets c..
