Update :- My Ertiga Zdi now reads 32000kms on odo.. and still roars... absolutely no performance degrades noticed. I went for a intercooler cleaning and ECR valve cleaning at 30k service and car engines noise has reduced after that, even the average is better and pick up has improved..

Your Ertiga should be one of the veterans in the forum. Good to know it is going strong after 32,000kms also.

Last weekend had a Long Drive to Pune.

Vehicle: Ertiga VDI (Diesel)
Fuel Efficiency Calculation Method: Tank Full Method
Persons onboard: 2 (May be the Fuel eff will reduce with more onboard)
Total ODO : 8950 Kms
Below Efficiency is based on 385Kms Travelled. Tried to maintain the speed of 80 Km/Hr
Fuel Efficiency : 22.48 Km/Ltrs [:D]
(3rd Service is due shortly and not sure if fuel efficiency will increase further after 3rd service which includes Oil change)

I am also facing the same sound. Has any one found the reason. I have spent an entire day at the service center for the engineers to find a solution but they coudn't find it.

Same sound in my ertiga too, above 80 kmph [frustration] observed that the sound is coming from the front grill. If anybody found any solution then plz mention here so we can rectify too.

Are you discussing about wind noise above 80kmph. I believe that is persistent problem in most Ertigas & some folks in the forum have been lucky in getting the problem resolved (adjustment / replacement of one front door beadings). However, I have been also reporting the problem during first and second services - but not rectified yet.

Next time, anyways planning to switch dealer.. So hopefully they can at least help in fixing this problems. It some time gets really annoying.. [anger]

Guys the wind noise is due to leak in front quarter glass beeding I got it replaced under warranty and that problem is solved. Insist the SA to have it replaced if he not sure about the cause. My SA replaced it when I said about air leak noise at speed over 60kms.

I mentioned about the same to SA, based on what I read in forums. However, excuse given to me was that Maruti is still working on the problem and there is no official confirmation from Maruti that replacing the beading would solve the problem.

However, I was told that they have done some adjustments (door re-alignment to adjust gaps, checking beadings etc) and noise issue is resolved. However I don't notice any difference. Since I am anyways considering to switch to another MASS for next service didn't bother taking it again for rectification.

Going by the number of complaints, Maruti should officially replace it in all Ertigas.

Hi SABY, I saw the pics of your Serene Blue ERTIGA, it looked awesome...
I am also planning to but ERTIGA ZDI, but still trying to fix on the body colour.

Can you please tell me if you faced any issues/concerns with your Serene Blue colour, since now it is quite some time that you have bought your GEM.

I have an rattle issue from second row AC,whenever i pass through uneven surface,or pothole road.Becomes unbearable sometimes,want suggestion from your side,how can convince MASS about this problem,need some inputs?
Though i would verify after a long drive.

Hi Guhan, you are correct, but I am reluctant for Silky Silver colour because I already have a Zen in Miami Gold colour which is much similar to the Silky Silver, So my family want a different colour [roll]

But I know, Silky Silver is a very good colour option
