Re: Suzuki's New Premium Hatchback Baleno Now Launched!

Ok, this comparo is pretty dumb. They compared the Polo GT TSI Auto and the Fiat Punto Abarth with the i20 Asta, Baleno Alpha, Jazz Vx and Ford Figo. How does it make sense to compare performance trims with ordinary road cars? Once the Baleno RS comes out and Hyundai responds with the i20 turbo version, then this comparison makes any sense.

Even within the ordinary road cars, there is not much to compare other than price. By my understanding, the Jazz is more of a comfort car and the i20 more of a premium car on the inside. The Ford is an affordable hatch and Baleno is a bit of everything. Each car has its own fineries, you just couldn't compare them without knowing the target buyer

The whole point of the video is to the dynamic abilities of each car, sure not even Gt tsi is a true hot hatch, but, some brands do take give some importance to dynamics, so that gets highlighted here,

According to this video the Punto Abarth didnt do well despite being a boiling hot hatch, so it was a good video that shows how it measured up to its more regular rivals.

Hey Petrol Heads!

I really do need your help.

I booked by Alpha Ray Blue Baleno on 14th November 2015. I have been called around 3 times saying that they had a vehicle in stock and suggested me to get an early delivery (I wish to take delivery during Ganesh Chaturthi this year) . I rejected their offer and stood by my delivery time frame. All of a sudden, today one NEXA representative calls up and tells me "Maruti have changed some of their policies regarding booking. If I don't accept the vehicle they have alloted to me this time around, My booking will be considered as fresh and I will have to wait till others get their vehicles (700 people)." I want to ask you guy's on what actions I must take further. I have already filed complaint on the NEXA helpline and they have told me to wait for further instructions (No time period given).

Here is the contents of the Email sent to me.

"As per our records, you had booked Baleno Alpha Petrol Ray blue on 14-11-2016 and as per waiting list you were first on the list Hence we offered you vehicle however as per your discussion with the RM you do not need vehicle now and wants delivery during Ganesh chaturthi. So we are dealloting the vehicle and it will be given to the customer next in line, hence your booking will be considered as fresh booking and new waiting period will be applicable which is been conveyed to you by the R.M."

Is this is what Sukuzi call's "NEXA Experience"?
Really terrible.

Even though I am among those who are extremely critical of MSIL products and policies at large but for once, I'll be with them for a change. It is not NEXA's fault in your case. You were provided the car based on the earlier waiting list but due to your own personal reasons you avoided to take delivery even after 3 reminders. At least they were helpful enough to remind you thrice. Honestly, in your case, if you are delaying the purchase, NEXA / MSIL have the right to allocate the designated car to others in waiting line and certainly your booking will be considered as new but you can transfer your old booking amount surely.

I don't think there is anything wrong in it. If you are not taking delivery of your car then after a certain period, the car can be allotted to some one else. Please understand, Baleno is a hot selling product (no matter how flimsy it is built) so the buyers are in plenty and the dealer won't be obliged to hold back the car for any longer. Best would be to take the car buddy.

I would say, thank your stars that you were the lucky one who did not face the actual unprofessional attitude of NEXA.

I think some proof reading is needed by NEXA for drafting an email!

Unfortunately this happens when the model booked has high demand and people in waiting list are even willing to pay a premium or get car loan from dealer or buy many accessories from the dealer at higher price. Although it is unethical, this is common practice [anger]. I am sure the company is aware about this dealer practice but turn a blind eye. Have you tried calling 1800 102 1800 and registering your complaint?
P.S: Technically, it can't be considered a complaint as Maruti has an obligation to fulfill the demand of the next customer in waiting list.

Re: Suzuki's New Premium Hatchback Baleno Now Launched!

Hey Akash.

During the time of booking I told them about my delivery time frame. They told me it was okay and they will deliver the car during that time. Over the span of the last 6 month's they called me thrice saying they have vehicle in stock and if I wanted I can take an early delivery which I politely declined and they told me that the vehicle would be alloted to the next in line to which I was fine with.

Then all of a sudden today they call me and force me to take delivery of the car they have in stock and if I don't they would cancel my booking as per "Maruti's new rules". By the way there aren't any new rules which I confirmed by calling the NEXA helpline. They told me the dealer was trying too fool me in taking delivery of the car and such behaviour is taken very seriously by MS. She then launched a complaint against the dealer.

Rselva: I don't mind that the vehicle alloted to me is given to someone else. Only thing I am dissatisfied about is that they converted my booking into a fresh one which is btw against company rules as told by the Customer Care Representative.

Probably they may be pushing you for taking delivery because NEXA might have to show the monthly sales to MSIL and your particular case may have come in the eye of MSIL management and they would have directed the dealer to ascertain whether you are genuinely interested or not in buying the car. The NEXA dealer would have informed about reminding you as well so maybe due to pressure from MSIL's side they were pushing to close the deal.Certainly there may not be any "new rules" but NEXA definitely being a premium brand for MSIL, would surely not be interested in getting into any issues for a sale. IF the car is there then I think it would be wise to take delivery without any further delay buddy. Once if the car is allotted to others then even if you keep on telling that you were promised by NEXA for late delivery(as per your time frame), it won't be of use as they have already reminded you. Why to unnecessarily create a complication buddy.

Thanks for your feedback Aakash.

I would love to get the Baleno ASAP. Who doesn't? ;)

Regarding the delivery date, there are many personal reasons for that! Sadly. :(

Let's see what MSIL has to say about the issue.
Keeping my fingers crossed!

Re: Suzuki's New Premium Hatchback Baleno Now Launched!

Can any one suggest me a com paint for my premium silver baleno [cry]
@mr_k,

fed up of asking Saurabh on com-paint email and FB for the same but there is no response. There is currently no way to patch the Silver. I tried mixing other colours (glistening grey and silky silver) but couldn't get a paint match. So I finally polished it and finally gave up

Re: Suzuki's New Premium Hatchback Baleno Now Launched!

got my alpha diesel's airbag software updated and fuel filter changed.
It took 10 min. to update the software, but they don't have the filter, service center guy (KAP service center, Ghazizbad) was very cooperative, he arranged the same from sahibabad an it took around 3hrs to get one from there. finally it took 4 hrs in total.

In the meanwhile he also checked my touchscreen infotainment system and updated it also (previous version was 7.30 now its 7.40)
he aslo gave me the link to update the maps for the same.

Seems little Fishy, how can he lock the yard and go away, and I don't think so they will have only one person who is handling keys for the whole yard.
Well check the vehicle properly before taking delivery, for any paint job done or any minor scratches. why don't you talk to GM of Bimal Nexa and see what's happening.
