Bharat, wait till it gets launched and let the official specs flow in as it is a suzuki so with both Maruti and Suzuki you never know what additions and deletions may take place prior to launch. Then make a thread in car shopper section with your requirements and there we shall discuss and suggest at length. Meanwhile, for your comfort, you may check out this comparison table.

Regards

Both are very good cars, there will be tough competition between the two and expect Maruti to win if they price it well well. Apart from that the two are closely matched.

Jazz comes with a 7 speed CVT. And Baleno will likely have a 5 Speed one similar to the Kizashi.

Well regarding quality & premiumness, Autocar has an Article in thier October 2015 Issue and they have mentioned that Quality & Premiumness are definitely improved over other Marutis but definitely not segment best. So we should wait & watch for that. Jazz is definitely my pick in the segment at the moment followed by Polo & i20.

I am also interested in Baleno & will wait for it.
Yup,jazz is the choice in the automatic segment.
What jazz has in addition is..
Alloys
Leather wrapped steering wheel
5' integrated audio with screen Paddle shift DRIVER SEAT HEIGHT ADJUSTER.
Jazz has 7 speed cvt gearbox.
Seriously Suzuki if u want to sell baleno AT, price the cvt a lakh below jazz cvt.

This car looks good to me. Only the headlights and the front grille looks weird. Lets see how good the fit and finish is.

This car runs on 1.3L FGT Multijet developing 75 BHP which will be an underpowered car.
It should have been a VGT developing 89 BHP engine would have been wonderful.

This car seems no better than a Stretched and mixed up version of Swift, Celerio and Alto. The front looks extremely weird and ugly whereas the rear reminds me of the CHEAP Alto's designs.
Add a very underpowered 75 bhp engine, same as the Swift along with the "not-so-positive" BALENO name and this is one fantastic example of a very average product against some super strong rivals such as the Polo and i20.
Posting pics of the rear comparing with Alto and Celerio.[frustration]

What about the twin slat nexa chrome grille shown in those earlier patent image leaks? Were those fake or very early images? All spyshots show the honeycomb grille.

And talking about those non projector headlamps, why on earth are they transferring almost the same design from the swift, on a so called premium car! ?

re: Suzuki's New Premium Hatchback Baleno Coming Up!Now Launched

The Baleno doesn't look as stylish as Jazz, Polo, i20. But this will be a premium offering. What Maruti should do is offer everything and price it higher then Swift Dzire but lower then SCross. I had my eyes set on this, but as soon as I read that it will be offered with 1.3 75ps Multijet, my mind was like Ehh..same engine as Swift, Maruti are you kidding ? Now I am slowly losing interest on this one, the Front is slightly boring and rear a bit plane to my liking. Side profile is ok but not as clean as Polo, nor sleek as i20, or as trendy as Jazz. So it's here nor there in terms of styling. Interiors are better as they are not copy paste of Swift. So one thing is for sure, this car doesn't seem to have any USPs and for me it's a pricier & premium version of Swift that's it, unless Maruti offers it with 1.3 90ps diesel and option of 1.6 DDiS like on the Polo.

Agree with you Nishant on the USP part.

Going by the Suzuki S Cross; I am expecting this one to have an awesome suspensiom setup along with a faultless fit and finish. Driving position and ergonomics can be spot on. But what to do with those puny engines?

Still, if this one gets a front center armrest, big boot and a space comparable to i20 then we can expect a massive hit. Yes, this is a MSIL product and if it can match the interior of an i20 in space and quality then expect the buyers to queue up to get one.

Nexa experience is actually good I must say (I liked the staff and dealership) and if the product can complement the premium dealership experience with a premium feel then we can expect a hit.

BTW looks like MSIL may one more product overlap with this one expected to be ranging from the Swift (say ZXi or ZDi, DZire included) to Ciaz (base to mid trims), here we can get to see the sibling cannibalisation.. Still MSIL is happy I guess, at least until the customer remains under the roof of MSIL dealerships.

Looks like NEXA is supposed to sell 'Suzuki' products instead of Maruti Suzuki. Even the spotted Baleno also seems to have only 'Suzuki' instead of Maruti Suzuki on the tail gate.

Yes you will get loads of space with features and a class leading boot space. Maybe the engine is 75HP but we should do a TD and conclude.

The car is lighter than Swift ( hope Q is not compromised - guess with Boron steel?) and need to see the power -weight ratio too.

Guys who are cribbing on power will have to wait for the boosterjet (110 hp) for offering to the Indian market. May be a niche market with ex showroom price of 9.99 lakhs !

When Swift Sport is there- why not a Baleno sport?
Also you never know, they could be planning a Baleno Sport with 1.6 MJD- Any takers? ( or maybe offering the Suzuki 1.5 diesel on this, late 2016)

Rendered- Baleno sport[clap]

Swift injected with steriods = Baleno.

No offences meant to anyone but this is what i feel. Yes it will indeed be a super hit if it comes under the right price tag, FE better than Ciaz? (90kg less than swift) Competition will anyways suffer a hit and also a drop in Swift and Dezire numbers.
