Thank you Shri and Balenoed. The above line gives me a lot of confidence. [clap]

should i also consider the ford figo (1.5 diesel titanium is just 60K extra) with its recent price cuts?
Regards,
Tony.
If its diesel figo should be your choice. Baleno diesel has turbo lag till 1500 rpm and its a pain to drive in the city. But once you are above 1500 rpm its fun to drive. On the other hand figo diesel has linearity in power delivery with zero turbo lag.

In case of petrol baleno is the best in the segment.

Ford is always best when you talk about diesel, however when it comes to ASS nothing beats Maruti. Just compare the features in both the cars and availability of spares and other parts and decide, I would go for Maruti always as I am not a Big Fan of Ford.

First of all, thanks to Moderators for approving my membership.

Guys, I need help from all of you regarding baleno. I am planning to book car tomorrow on occassion of Janmashtmi. Almost finalized Baleno Zeta Diesel but rear suspension issue talks are holding me back. Other car which suits my choice is Tata Tiago XZ Diesel but Tata service center availability and service reputation are major concerns.
I know both cars are from different segment but Tiago is great VFM whereas Baleno is with Maruti tag.
Please advice. My requirement is ABS+EBD, Dual Airbags, Alloy Wheels, Rear Parking Sensors, Good Music System, Central Locking.
We have a list of threads which talks about the suspension issue and frankly speaking after owning the car for last 9 months, I don't see any such issue. Its true that the suspension setup is not the best but the same goes for all cars in this segment. I would suggest you to do a proper TD and see if it satisfy you.

Tiago and baleno are from different segment and both are VFM which largely depends on customer requirements and budget. For example if you are in a market for small city hatch then Tiago would be your choice. But in case if you want a better and spacious hatch then Baleno is the pick. So all depends on what exactly you want from your car

My choice is petrol as i may not drive for more than 500 kms a month generally and occasional long trips (3-4 trips at the most totalling 6K kms). But since the diesel figo was only costing marginally more than the Delta petrol got slight confusion. Also due to the fact that there are lot many good reviews for figo diesel engine. My heart is still with Baleno [;)]

Baleno Petrol is best choice if your drive is not more then 500 kms. Spacious and full of features which you wont get in other cars in this segment. I own Zeta and boy it makes me smile everyday I take her out. I really don't mind the suspension ( its just little Stiff as the car is more Sporty ) I get as its not the only thing to look out for. There are other positives which will make this car always best in its class.

hi All,
I am New to this Forum and a novice Driver
recently i brought my Baleno Zeta Petrol Manual variant which is my Maiden Car!!!
On reading reviews her and there , many had pointed out regarding Suspension issues, Body Build material Quality.

Some issues which i had faced was initially since i rolled down from Showroom, had a feel of bumpy on roads. I Filled tyres with Nitrogen and the guy in Tyre Shop told to Pressurise the tyre at 33 psi rathr than company recomended 29 psi. after that may be a placebo effect, but felt a smoother ride than before.

another issue which i was baffled was... the car gives a mild shakes which is appreciable when we are parked along sideways of highways, and when other vehicles go past me in average speeds say around 45-65kmph (jus a guess only). is it due to the low Body weight of the Baleno??

Right now i have crossed 1.3k kms and have done the first Free Check up.. the Things are better and smoother now, and ride quality seems improved in handling and comfort wise, but still feels a minor lag in 3rd gear .. is it normal??

The service manager told that MS is gonna Recall balenos for Suspension change within two months time as they have recieved enough complaints regarding the same . Hope it shoudl boost the overall ride quality to a higher level.

Hi

I am newbie and thanking moderators for approving my membership.
I booked baleno petrol in April, got call on july about delivery.
I postponed my vehicle delivery, as i worried about suspension and light build, hoping MS will fix at least suspension issue by arrival of next batch.
till now no such fix happened.
Now I am wondering, how it will be, if i wait till Nov/Dec, 2016 to know the exact benefit with GST. I will wait until Apr, 2017 (almost year), if GST benefits price reduction, else i accept delivery in Dec,2016 , to protect another price hike in Jan,2017.
please correct me, if my thinking is not correct.

If there is something wrong with the suspension, the company will recall the vehicles and make a fix such that their existing customers shouldn't bad-mouth about the product.

By the GST arrives to life, I don't feel there is a point in waiting as you'd be saving only a few thousands and it's not going to be a "big" difference, fyi price hikes doesn't happen only in January, besides, Tiago's price was hiked by 8000 as per latest news, so you got to pay whatever the price rules at that time.

P.S. If you're ready for buying the car, it's no use waiting to all the things you wished to happen.

After turning, steering should automatically come back to original position right..?
its not happening in my car
Its same with other Baleno's as well Baker, it doesn't come back completely, you need to adjust a little, still check the tyre pressure to be more accurate.

There is noting wrong with the Suspension, I think its just been hyped over. just take a test drive and see it yourself. the car is little stiffer side as the wheels are bigger (16 inches in Zeta ) and its more Sporty then comfortable. I am using my Baleno Zeta since FEB 2016 and I can assure you will not notice the bumpy ride until you hit concrete road, also you can easily work around with dropping tyre pressure and get the suspension in place accordingly.

for GST you need to wait till next Financial year. If you can wait that long try Baleno RS.[:D]

I have Baleno Alpha Petrol. There are some issues with the car such as the USB issue as discussed earlier sometime music player don't recognize the USB and it skips the USB option when you change the modes.
Built Quality is very very poor. It seems like Maruti has used very poor quality of Material in this car. I have asked some maruti officials about this that initially maruti uses 8MM sheet for their cars but in Baleno they are using 6 MM sheet.

The next issue i am facing is the noise from the tray in the boot. I have gone to the service center thrice for the same issue but they are not able to resolve the issue.

Overall car is very good with very good engine and very fuel efficient. Petrol engine is really very smooth and sparky.

6 mm sheet? Please check with maruti officials again ? Where they used so much thick sheet. Even the bus floor is made of 6 mm sheet. Does the sheet thickness defines the build quality ?

Make sure you have formatted the usb properly. If not the system won't recognise it and will skip when you change modes.
