Suspension issue can't be rectified unless Maruti comes us with a solution in the next batch or may be a facelift. But the issue is not something that you can't live with. Please reduce the tyre pressure a bit and use nitrogen. I don't see that you will feel the problem much.
Yes, insist on doing a PDI. I never did a PDI for my last two Maruti car as the dealership was owned by someone close to our family. So unless you can have a trust on dealer better to do PDI.
Thank you kushalarora and balenoed. I will insist on the PDI before Invoicing. I called my RM and he agreed on PDI after i pay an initial downpayment (20%). Is this ok? He told me to make the payment soon and only if i make the payment will the car be allocated to me. please note that the car is still not here and is on the way, as per my RM. is this how it works?
From what I understand, suspension is worse when the back row has 2 or more occupants right? it will mostly be my wife and kid sitting there (due to the airbags). Hopefully its not going to be bad for them. On the same note, i didn't find any suspension issues during test drive.[thinking] i did purposefully hit few potholes at medium speeds to test and my wife said it wasn't bad by any means.
Also my long trips will be on the brilliant roads in TN (at least 90% of it). Baleno should breeze through those roads (hopefully). My A-Star was also very good on these roads.
I would also like to know from the new Baleno owners if some of the issues mentioned here are already sorted by MS? Like how Suryaputra had mentioned about rumours regarding a correction on the door sheet metal? If somebody could throw some clarity on whether any of the recent recipients faced the stalling issue and the others in their new Balenos?
Also, i tried pressing on the doors and bonnet of A-Star and found that though they went in on applying pressure, came back to normal position on releasing the pressure. This means I already owned a Maruti with thin sheet metal and faced no major issues due to it.
Tony.
