Hi All,

Can anybody tell if your Baleno Delta model triggers alarm on any shock on the body.
I have set the shock sensors to be most sensitive (level 15), but it never triggers alarm.

Car has got a bad dent when parked on the street, but it did not trigger any alarm.

Can anybody please share the ways to test shock sensors of the car?

Is it set on Trailer mode or Normal mode ? I believe you need to set it up on Normal mode as well. Try it out and see.

I could not find trailer/normal mode in system.
I have set S1,S2,S3 and S4 levels.

I checked service and manual book, but I could not find trailer/normal mode for security system.

I have Delta model.

Not sure if they have it in Delta, i have Zeta. Try this - If you have antitheft option, then select it from MID and you then get option select mode, where you see Normal and Trailer mode, from there you can select it.

Set Sensors (if equipped)
You can select either the normal or trailer
mode of the parking sensor via the information
display. Refer to “Information display”
in “BEFORE DRIVING” section.
Normal mode
All sensors operate. Use this mode under
normal conditions.
Trailer mode
The rear corner and rear center sensors
are inhibited from operating. Use this
mode when towing a trailer.

Above text is from manual. Normal and Trailer mode is related to enabling/disabling the sensors on the rear bumper.

Guys my friend have baleno delta CVT.He needed those alpha headlights really bad.But the main problem is that his delta uses h4 bulb and baleno alpha uses d8s hids , that is the wiring is completely different. But when he asked to xenon planet ,they have said that it is possible to replace the stock d8s projectors and install h4 projectors. But another doubt that he has is that will the other wires that is the DRL,headlight adjuster, indicator will connect to deltas wiring harness?
And can we replace the led tail light to baleno alphas led tail light?

Hello All,

I am one of those in the waiting list to get hands on the Baleno.

In this regard, i would like to put forth my query on the colour options.

Does all the baleno colour options are metallic or non metallic?
I would have to keep my car under sun since we don't have a parking facility as of now (may be in future, i would look for one), one of my collegues asked me whether the colour which i have opted is a metallic or non-metallic one. I am not sure what did he mean but he told me that non-metallic ones tends to fade so easily.

Any expert advice?

Please excuse me in case my query is irrelevant here.

Thanks

@kishorek12,

what your colleague was referring to was the possibility of darker colours fading in the sunlight. If all the colour fades evenly, it isint an issue but if only one side fades, its a problem in his opinion.

Rest assured, that wont happen with OEM colours. However, the darker colours are more difficult to patch. AFAIK, Baleno is offered in arctic white, premium metallic silver, grey, metallic orange, fiery red, urban blue and ray blue. Out of these, white, grey and urban blue have ready available touchup colours. So when you do eventually scrape the car, the paint touchup will match. For the remaining, you have to depend on the ASC or the FNG mixing up a perfect colour match. Scrapes are more common than fading colour

Dekho kishore, in today's cars the chemical composition of body colors and the end product have improved significantly and the color fading does not take place often. The color fading happens if some chemical deposit occurs on paint surface or if the car gets repainted often. If the car stays with OEM paint for long then the paint fading process gets significantly delayed. Moreover, once in 6 months you can go in for proper detailing of the car so that too shall protect the paint from damage or fading in long run.

Thank you so much Ameyam for your expert advice[clap]. I am not a great driver and also i am yet to scrape a car with something... [:D] i used to drive my brother's Chevrolet Beat LS and my brother-in-law's Wagon R occasionally. I think its high time for me to polish my driving and parking skills after going through your reply.

Yeah, i would be keeping the car beside a wall where the passenger side would be under shade if not directly under sunlight, so what you mentioned about fading (or half-fade on one side and not on another side) might not be a problem since OEM colours are good enough. I would stick to my original colour option now (RB)

Thanks very much Akash1886, you advice is very well appreciated[clap]
I was also under the impression that colour fade is common with darker shades. Since this is my first car, i am just biting nails for every minute thing that comes to my mind. You guys in this forum are doing great job!

Also, could you please explain what do you mean by "proper detailing of the car"? I am a newbie to this car world and would like to explore more.

It is usual. One is always on the verge of a nervous breakdown whether one is getting married for 1st time or buying a car for the 1st time.[lol] You never know what's in store and what may happen on the D-Day!

You guys in this forum are doing great job!
Thanks for the humble appreciation buddy.

By proper detailing I mean, getting the exteriors of the car properly polished & cleaned using professional outlets like 3M.

What Akash is referring to is the polish / Teflon / sealent treatment that's available for cars no. Contrary to what some say, this coating protects well and minor scrapes and scratches can be polished off. The coat lasts 6 months and will need to be repeated then. However, don't bother doing it if you are getting the car in the monsoon because it will simply wash off. Drive around till October and then get it done.

As a new driver, a work of caution- the Baleno has a high dash and side windows and you sit low. Driving will be challenging, especially as you are used to tall boy designs. In fact at delivery, I missed a child that had run past on the passenger side. Not to intimidate, just be careful

Hello everyone!
There was a heavy rain today in Gurgaon and water level was too high on the street. My car was submerged with the level above the lower end of doors. And vehicles going on the roads was creating waves on the water.
Now there is good amount of water inside my car on the driver side and the seat behind the driver seat. Can anybody help and suggest the ways to make the floor fully dry.

Please help.
