I m getting really bad bouncy ride in my alpha model car . How to reduce the bounciness of my car ? i always keep my tyre pressure at 32 psi to get good fuel efficiency.. Is it becauses of tyre pressure or somemthing else ?
A bouncy ride in the back in the Baleno is a known issue. Which trim do you have? The zeta's pressure is
29psi but you can drop that by 1-2psi by trial & error for city driving

I'm having alpha with R16 tyres apollo one. I'm putting 32 psi pressure to prevent puncture as i go through really bad (full of pot holes) road for my work. Should i buy a pressure gauge to keep a check tyre pressure?

32psi is too high. I drive on pot hole ridden roads too but dont seem to have too much of an issue. No dirt tracks though

Try 29psi atleast. Thats stock pressure

Hello folks'

Had a long nice drive over the weekend and here are some observation

1. Steering pull issue : Well you will feel it little when you are driving about 80 to 90 kmph however I could hardly notice it above that so around 100 plus it was ok. Going to get it checked during 1 St service.

2. Ride and handling : With 4 passengers including me, car was well planted on road and no stability issue between 100 - 120 kmph. Didn't tried over 120 yet. It is smooth on Tar road and on ghat section where we have concrete road car is little rough. Didn't feel any body roll and on 4 th gear without AC it cleared the ghat section easily. Sometimes you need yo change on 3 rd if overtaking those oil tankers. Must say NVH levels are excellent as the cabin was very quite and we al enjoyed a nice chat without being loud. I think this feature in baleno is best in its class.

3. Mileage: By Tank full method it gave me 18 kmpl and on MID it was showing 18.5 kmpl. Ac was ON mostly all the time except in mornings and on ghat section which was around 25 kms.

4 Suspension : Again on Tar road its awesome and on concrete road you can feel it little. But genuinely if I say I did not hear a single complain from back seat passengers throughout the journey. No body was tired after such a long journey. Same route when we went last time on Swift I could feel the tiredness myself after coming home however not with baleno. Pressure I kept is 29 psi and 28 psi which is rear and front tyres. As I did filled nitorgen so it helped to keep the tyres cool.

5. One thing I found stragnge as soon as I left home on Sat morning and drove around 10 kms., I could hear a creeking sound coming from steering whenever I am moving it little anticlockwise. As the cabin was very quite inside so I could hear the sound very clearly. Not sure if its bearings or something else nees to get it checked during servicing.

Yes, even I notice now that you say it that the car drives well on tar and a little rough on concrete. Thats where I had the bumpiness come in. But I had only one rear passenger
Thats steering pull isint going away. I think its related to the car's tendancy to not centre, something thats well reported.

Have since driven at 100km plus several times and the car has been quite stable.

As a comparison, I was in my boss' Camry today. That car is really soft sprung. So much so that it bottomed out on the first speed breaker we hit. But the ride is quite comparable to the Baleno's. Something in that more expensive car- it lacks glass tint making the drive really bright!

Hi Guys,

I had a bad time driving the car yesterday as I hit an obstacle which left some bruises on the front bumper of my car and a deep cut on the alloy wheel. Any suggestions to get it fixed?

This is know issue in 2015 dzire to baleno, as Ameyam said we need to unite and sue MSIL. But you can try one thing baleno clutch free pedal travel according to service manual is 5mm to 12mm, make it little out of specification to 3mm to 4mm, this solved problem in my case.

I have a problem with guide home/ to car lamps in my alpha.

The guide to car lamps works fine but i dont see guide to home lights lit up after locking the car. They never litup

Am i missing something here or is there anythin that i have to do. I have tried all the settings in the MID - turning off the guide to car option and locking the car, resetting all the MID to default etc. But still it doesn't seem to work.

Please let me know if there is any catch here that I'm missing.

I dont know where the nearest maruthi ASC is in whitefield.

Cut on alloy and mark on bumper.
Any suggestions to fix this?
Order a replacement alloy rim through MGA. Do this from the retail MGA store rather than the ASC to save money. You can have it installed at any dealer. Don't take a chance with that cut, wheels are the only thing that touch the ground.

For the running board damage, just leave it and claim if you need to claim insurance. Other than the aesthetics, its shouldn't cause any issue

Hi,
I am looking forward to buy a high pressure washer ,although karcher has best reviews however it is costliest of all.I have zeroed in on Bosch AQT 37-13 as this is cheaper than the rest in 37bar pressure range.I would like to know if anyone has used a 37bar pressure washer and is it effective against grit which is stuck under tyre wells ?
