Does the issue of plastic coating on the wires melting still exist? I have booked the Alpha variant of Baleno and expecting the delivery by March. Please do tell me that is the melting issue a serious one? or is it a one of a kind flaw?
@ameyam, Baleno alternator is different from swift. Baleno alternator part no is 31400M68P00. EPS servo also different from swift. Baleno part no is 48200M68P40.

Ok I will do that, today I received Baleno service manual, it is of three parts and all three are huge books.

Guys, after initial scrutiny of service manual, even through it is K12M engine there is a lot of difference between swift k12M engine and baleno k12M. Pity is that baleno body is extremely weak, I will post details regarding its body structure with photographs from service manual where they have used High tensile strength and where not and experience with that HT steel.

Anyone has an idea why the battery icon lit for so long ?
The scene is,
Car got stalled near a signal and i immediately pressed the start button while in 1st Gear without shifting to neutral. Car got started and since then the battery icon has lit and stayed on all the time while i shifted from 1 to 5 gears. It didn't go until i clicked the below pic which is roughly 3mins or so. And after that it stopped and didn't lit again. Not sure of whats the reason behind it. Any ideas ?
