Though you can avail warranty from Apollo, insist that the ASC replace the tyre for you. Tyre manufacturers offer them a strong warranty but you wont be entertained. Just tell the ASC they arent selling mobile phones.
Should I talk to the dealer first? Also can I contact any Maruti ASC regarding this or should I stick to the one I got my first service at (They didn't seem very cooperative)?

Today, someone from apollo came today to inspect the damaged tyre. He declared that it's not manufacturing defect and the damage was caused by alloy rim impact. I asked him that car runs mostly below 40kmph. How can an impact at such a low speed cause a sidewall cut. He replied it happens sometimes if the car jumps into a big pothole or something like that.
He told apollo can't replace the tyre and I should approach Maruti ASC for a replacement. I called the MASS and they said they will call me back after discussing with concerned people.

Chandra, Ask the person from apollo a letter confirming that it was not apollos tyre fault and the alloy rim has caused it. Ask ASC to take care of this and give them the letter given by apollo. Please keep us posted on the status.

Right side mirror is taking more time to get folded/unfolded as compare to left mirror.
:(
Same here! Since it's same for 3 of us (including ameyam), It's by design that right side mirror is slower than left one.

Something for owners whose cars keep stalling in traffic. Idle rpm is 550! See pic

Ameyam
550rpm is for petrol baleno, right? Because my petrol baleno also idle at around 600 RPM, I'm also having the same stalling issue and impatient people irritates me by honking at traffic lights!
I'm now giving more accelerator but i believe that'll wear out clutch prematurely! The car shudders too much without accelerator input!

Yes, petrol. since 1st service, where i reported the issue, the stalling has reduced. But problems related to jerking at part clutch & sometimes when clutch is fully released & light dimming, mostly related with engine rpm continue

Hi All,
Can anyone help me in following issue?
If i lock the car using remote and open it using key, security alarm gets triggered as expected.
Now what is the method to stop that alarm without using remote.
I want to know, if on a day battery of remote gets drained, what should i do to unlock the car.

Thanks

Abhinav,

those FOBs have a battery life of about an year. Firstly, you will use the 1st FOB till 2nd service (6 months) and the 2nd FOB till 3rd service (6 months). Then again the 1st FOB and so on. In this manner, the FOBs will last atleast 2 years. At the end of battery life, there is a system wherein the car itself informs you of the battery issue. Its in the MID somewhere, please check the manual
