Hi,

has anyone replaced the stock speakers on the Baleno? I have Infinity Reference speakers from my previous car and I find the sound quality of those was much better. However, I am hesitant to do it because I am concerned plastic creaks and groans will start if I remove the door trim panels even once

I have changed to DB6501. Yes, factory fit is factory fit. Creaks and squeaks (did I spell that right?) occur in most cases once you open up the doorpad. If you don't feel the need, then you should stay stock as long as you can. In my case, I couldn't control myself when I saw those Polk DB boxes being unloaded. [lol] But I also got damping done on the front doors for this reason (rattles, creaks).

As of now, there are no noises in the car. Running perfect, as on first day!

Sdk,

As far as the information that i got grom Nexa or Maruthi, they will not place the camera on the chrome strip. And it should be drilled on to the bumper only. But i would suggest you go to Nexa before coming to any decision.

Reverse Parking Camera for Baleno: Suggestions Needed

Hi All

Can some one advise me if i can go for a rear view monitor which is fitted on to my rear view monitor in my new baleno

Issue : The mirror is on the windshield so i am not intending to put more weight on it.
Can we do that ?

I have seen some foldable car rear view monitors which can be placed on dashboard
is this advisable, but i have not seen them in any of the cars recently.

Suggestions please

You can definitely install rear view camera along with monitor but you have to get it done from MASS otherwise your car warranty might get void.If you know a good car accessory shop or a garage who can install it without a heavy impact and the electricals then it is fine. Also most probably you have to drill the bumper to install the camera rather than the slot provided and the hatchgate chrome (if you have it), as was told to me by MASS people.

Bangalore I checked, NEXA ppl told they cant give rear view camera for chromestrip.
I asked them if Baleno Aplha owner ask then you can give right then why not for Zeta. He just smiled and told "Sir we cant give it for Zeta". [surprise]
Maruti only has camera which needs to drill in bumper (for all of who dont have alpha).. No other choice,
On the surprise I checked few local shops they are offering mounted camera (not need to drill ) and display within 5K.

The problem Nexa is teling you about is that you need to remove the chrome strip. AFAIK, to do this, you need to open up the door panel in the hatch, then remove the chrome bar, install the camera and set it up, then reinstall the chrome bar and the internal panel. There are some logistical issues with this I am told (its too much of a hassle and messes with company fitted stuff). Secondly, the Alpha's camera is integarted into the car's electronics and so, comes with distance marking etc. The one Nexa supplies to you cames with no aids whatsoever, just the picture and cant be intregated into the car's electronics or even the rear view mirror like on the Swift. What Nexa sells is available in the market for under 3K. They sell it yo you for 6+k, so there is sizable profit for them there. For all these reasons, Nexa will force you into the hapless camera they have

That is done to push the sales of higher variants like Alpha. Many dealers do this so that the customer has no other option than to get the next variant.

If you can confirm that the part is compatible with your vehicle, you can approach some other Maruti dealer and place an order for Alpha's camera and strip (approach as an Alpha owner). BTW what's wrong with bumper mounted camera?

BTW what's wrong with bumper mounted camera?
NEXA is asking 10K + for bumper mounted camera. I am trying to avoid unnecessary drill in bumper, IMO its spoil rear look. So searching Number plate mounted or something like that.
Did anyone buy online Baleno 3D mat, Mudflap or body cover? Now a days I see lot of seller's are selling Baleno 3D mats and body covers.
Bangalore dealer is asking 900 INR for mudflap.. [frustration], 2600 for body cover...
It will be great help, If anyone share details to get suitable 3D mat , Mudflap and body cover from bangalore's local store.

3d mat- some of the mays that are available are meant for automatic. So they have a raused left side which gets in the way of the clutch. I tried two mats & both interfere with clutch, even the nexa rubber mat gets in the way. so i drive woth a plain mat from the swift whereas all the remaining mats other than the driver one are box mats. Thats just my preference. My car has carpet lamination so that may be the reason in fact, if you want to try, pm me. i have a completely unused set of box mats that are perfectly fine & you can buy from me coz i dont need them

I doubt that mud flaps for Baleno are available aftermarket yet.

Body cover i didnt bother getting. Get the jopasu duster instead & just wipe down the car once in a while

Well i am using universal transparent 5 piece pvc mats and they are serving well.Bought from a local shop, they costed me 1200.Boot mat was not n the package.Mud flaps installed from MASSfor 800 bucks.Aftermarket are available for 550/600 at various online sites.Wanted to install body side door moulding but it is of actualy no use and sumhow doesnot make the car look great. The entire car looks good without the bumper protectors and door side mouldings as per me.

Hello....if any owner can tell me whether the specifications of the 4 speakers n the baleno zeta is the same.I hear more bass from the front speakers than that of the rear.Do i need to adjust the fader or something?

The front speakers are components. With a separate tweeter, you get better bass. Use equaliser & fader to set it to your preference

Re: Reverse Parking Camera for Baleno: Suggestions Needed

Thank you Rohan

i dont have the chrome thing . i know the alternative to do is to drill the bumper. how about the monitor is it advisable to put it on the rear view mirror. The mirror is attached to the windsheild so i am doubting if it is advisable to put some more weight. ?

I am also looking for a foldable rear view monitor like the one in this link (https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=foldable+rear+view+monitor). i have not see this in any of the cars that i have seen so far.

Suggestions please.

Installing the monitor n the driver side will always be helpful rather than n the mirror as you have to look upward while reversing and you might miss the front edges.Installing it n the same straight line of sight will assure you look through the monitor for the reverse as well as both the front fender bumper edges through the windshield.
