The zeta has no leds vikram. Also 4300K is the colour temperature (yellow white), not the cost. But the price is around 3800rs

Ameyam
3k should be a good price. If you are getting from MASS, 3.8k is also fine.

HIDs in foglamps won't give you drastic improvement. Change to 100/90 in headlights, it is cheaper as well as sure-shot way of visibility improvement.

Ice_wise,

when I am in a traffic jam (which is a lot on my daily drive home), I tend to put off the headlights and drive stop & go on fogs. In the Baleno, there is no real way to keep only fog lights ON. So I switch over from auto headlights with fogs to running lights only. Thats where I find the illumination to be low. HID upgrade for the fogs are only for that. However, I find that from outside, the Fogs are pretty bright. So I am not sure what to do

For that sort of usage, HIDs in foglamps are perfect. HIDs will be more brighter (and different than others), which will help your vehicle to be noticed by other road users and will also provide decent short distance illumination needed in stop-go traffic. All this, at a mere 35w. [;)]

I thought you were planning to use them in place of your low beams in city limits (i.e. also in 30-40 kmph speeds). In that case, they will fall below expectations as foglamps are designed for short distance throw.

And yes foglamps appear to be bright from outside because of their reflector design. Compare the big headlight reflectors which seem inadequate to the foglamps which are small in size with less powerful bulbs, and you will see that their illumination is at par with their size and construction.

Just one (more) question though- will this require to switch off my lights everytime i start the car? As you are aware, the baleno petrol has a habit of stalling frequently when accelerating from standstill & its not always possible to switch off everything before restarting

Yes. It is the same in regular foglamps also. Before restarting, you must switch off lights. Come on, flick of a switch. [lol]

Also, in case of HIDs, keeping them ON without the engine running will drain your battery pretty quick. So make a habit to switch them OFF at the time of stopping the car (engine).

Its isint an issue when starting or stopping. Its about that stall in traffic when taking the time to switch off everything is not there. You usually got a second or two before the people behind start honking like nuts. In that time you need to switch off the aircon, headlight fog lamps & then depress clutch & then push the start button. So i often just depress the clutch & start

Well, it is recommended to switch off every electrical part when starting to reduce load on battery but in some situations like this, you have to take the chance. Be a little more careful but if it is not possible to switch OFF the foglamps, then only start like that. As long as your battery is healthy, it will not be a problem but the cranks may take longer (or worse, HID will go off/flicker) as your battery ages.

I don't think in stop-go traffic, a 2 second gap makes any difference (except the morons honking behind you) but maybe the scene is different at your place.

Stalling problem seems to be the worse amongst all in heavy traffic when you are honked like hell from behind. Also must say the stock bulbs n the zeta is not very efficient. It just only serves the purpose.

Hi guys what external modifications can be done to delta variant of baleno without breaking warranty.
Anything as long as you keep the stock item with you and can revert back to stock conditon (in case of warranty claims) without leaving a clue of the modification.[;)]

What are you planning to do?

Can anyone suggest me the best floor mats for baleno...?
There are 3-4 types of mats available.

1. Transparent plastic mats
2. Basic carpet-type mats
3. 3D mats

You can also try floor lamination, though it will be the costliest option and you still have to get mats to place over it. 3D mats are good value for money, very effective, easy to clean and much better than the other 2 types.
