Mahindra's New Micro SUV Named KUV100

If M&M prices this for 4-6 lac then this is gonna generate mad volumes for Mahindra. Once again we are gonna look at people queuing outside the Mahindra dealerships just to get their KUV.
Going by what Mahindra has been doing since years in terms of pricing, I won't be surprised if they keep pricing like say:
4.29 for petrol and 4.69 for base diesel and going by the features and the UV styling, this is gonna hit the competition real hard.
Heck, even 4.49 for petrol and 4.99 for diesel will also be good enough. Look at the price for which Maruti sells Swift and Hyundai sells the i20.

K6+ has got all the essentials covered. Fog lamps can be retrofitted. Some nice alloys and fatter rubber will look better than the stock alloys.
Glad to know that the KUV has proper DRLs and not LED parking lights like in the XUV and Scorpio.

All the variants (even the base variant) has optional airbags.

Loaded with features, as always a Mahindra way to get superb sales on opening day. XUV5OO & TUV3OO got (Even New Generation Scorpio) got 50-50 response for looks & style but for KUV1OO received good response for styling.

KUV 100 has suddenly excited me. I will be in market to replace my old wagon R. Figo 1.5 diesel and Zica are already shortlisted and now third competitor is KUV100. At this time Figo is front runner but I am excited to see which one make me fall for it finally. Excited time ahead for me and all the buyers like me.
Auto Car India has uploaded the first set of clear interior pictures of the Mahindra's new compact SUV KUV100.
It appears to be at a dealer stock yard as far as I can think as an TUV300 is parked next to it. They may be the
display vehicles arriving at the dealerships.

Why is there three knobs on the central console?, usually it is two right.

Interiors are good, but then they could have gone with regular dashboard + gear placement. For once, the gear placement looks out of place and odd, second hand brake is located in unconventional place. If they are targeting the youth market, then I am sure, Mahindra got it's end user wrong! I am sure that most of the young guys will be simply put off by this simple flaw from their part!
That i know, what i told is that the knobs are placed more vertically (even though the gear comes to the right) they could have placed it horizontally. This type of placement seems odd for me. But i liked this placement as it is somewhat new design.
But still a proper sedan like the old manza from mahindra with new engine would have been better than a compact hatchback/SUV.

Well @Nmm_Mitra, @Furious_Driver What ever be the lacunae of this car, I think Mahindra has hit the bulls eye with this KUV. People yearn for pseudo SUVs these days and if priced right it will be most selling small car. See the success of Kwid. I am sure KUV will follow the suit. To my eyes Kwid in pics it looks mighty impressive but in real it is not that impressive and looks more like overgrown alto, however it is selling like hot cakes.
What I fear is that Zica the much touted car from Tata will be dead on arrival. Mahindra are very aggressive in pricing of thier car, they had is right with XUV and so will it be with KUV.
Personally speaking about myself, I have liked the Zica's interior better than KUV's. The center console has put me off. Where as Zica's is very modern looking interiors. However the exterior shape of KUV is more like butch XUV and that of Zica is beautiful but plain. So my take is if priced at par, KUV will be sureshot winner over zica.
