@Mukesh- But at 32 steering feels hard. Is this is the issue with Air bubble in the pipe or thats the way scorp is?
Also, I was thinking of nitrogen.. Is this a good idea?

@krish_go:

Air pressure is not something someone can suggest and be sure it will work for you.You will have to play with different PSI.

Yes, nitrogen is a good idea. Will protect your rims from rusting from inside.Since there is no oxygen, water vapor is not formed. It is safer as well, since does not heat up.Again, you will have to play with different PSI to find what works best for you.

As mukeshus mentioned, if you are filling air into the tires make sure you fill it early in the morning when the weather is dry. This is a practice to avoid moisture from entering the tires and causing the wheels to rust.

Can you post the pics of tyres, and what make is the tyre.

In the bill i could not see OCA brake adjust, where they clean the discs, rear drum for any asbestos collected in the drum.

Hope you are not over inflating the tyres as well.

If nothing works drop a mail to CC of M&M, raising the concerns.

So that they again can do a OCA brake adjust.

If possible check the brake fluid reservoir, red fluid in color(TVS Girling) Yellow Cap.
Mukesh,

I checked with the SA and he mentioned that brakes were cleaned, and brake pads still have some life left.

Tyres are JK Eleanzos (the OEM ones) and I get them inflated at 32psi on all four.

Brake fluid is full, double checked that.

Have complained at Mahindra customer care 3 days back, no response yet.

Im just afraid to take out my Scorpio for highway purpose. Also, its out of my understanding as to why fault in ABS should affect braking?

All said, this is my last acquisition from the Mahindra stable; had been contemplating about buying a Rexton or a XUV5oo, but no more.

This lasted for 30 days and then i found the pedal on the floor near KR puram bridge one day and clutch oil leaking badly . Called the Bosch Service centre and got the vehicle picked up in an hours' time. They fixed this with no charge , and it repeated again after 2 months in the last week of June on Castle Street - Brigade Rd Junction. The Bosch Service Centre sent their towaway vehicle to pick up my Scorpio to their centre in Whitefield. The leakage was fixed again. They did not charge me for this , as the Owner Mr.Bharat is very straight forward person and responsibly owned this repeat failure. After that the clutch play and gear shift were very smooth. At 69,000kms based on their suggestions , i changed the Engine Oil to Shell Helix HX6 and coolant only. Changed the brake pads too.

Back in the city , two days back , the clutch pedal gave in again infront of the Old Airport. Drove the vehicle in the 1st gear lock, without clutch until Kundanahalli Gate , a trick i learnt from the MM 550 drivers in Tholpetty. Asked Bosch Service to pick up the vehicle again. Looked underside - Clutch Oil leak again .

Few Questions . Is this a common problem with the mHawk VLX 2008 models ? Is the clutch slave cylinder on certain models of Scorpio mHawk 2008 had a faulty design and were prone to leakage ? Why is recurring over and over. Does this happen with newer Scorpios ? How do get a smoother gear shift and clutch pedal play , without the Oil Leakage or any clutch problem.

Best Regards
Bikash
I don't know if its common but this is what happened with me one day while coming back from office. Had to call for a tow vehicle to get it to the SKS Automobiles (now Ananth Cars). This happened with out any signs or warnings. Like you, I am scared to do night driving with family, because you never know when will this give way.
This happened for me @ 36000 KMs ODO, Hard bargained, called Mahindra officials, also threatened to put a Consumer Court Case of putting me any my family at risk.
They got this fixed free of cost, but had to keep my car with them for 2 days

Bosch Service Centre (Raghavendra Motors) near Hoodi junction
I am tired of these ASC, after Ananth Cars all old Mechanics (from SKS time) I knew have left and the quality or satisfaction is not good.
Please provide feedback on the bosch centers if possible.

Any suggestions for a good service center for Scorpio ? My car is still under Extended warranty though for next six months.

Regards,
Srinivas

Please make sure tire pressures are same for Front Set and Rear Set. Get your wheels balanced and aligned at a good place. I keep them at 32. I get it filled with Nitrogen. I ask the attendant to put 33 as he has 1 PSI error with my TPMS. I have Bridgstone Tubeless tires. At 32 it gives me 10-11 KMPL in city and 13-14 KMPL on Highways.

Hi Srinivas, after a long time I am seeing your post.

I stopped visiting SKS (Now Anant Auto) long back, now i am with Chrome Motors(Mysore Road).

The earlier GM of SKS Maqbhul is the CEO of Chrome Motors.

In one word they are doing good job.

just a query.

has anybody been told to decarbonise the engine after every oil change.

during my recent service stint, they say , it is preferred during every oil change. cost 1.5k [surprise]

they say , they clean the turbo intercooler etc to clean off carbon deposits.

i replied, my car has not run enough 12K kms to warrant it and also the manual does not mention it, so i will not pay for that .

the SA reluctantly striked those "labour charges" off.

my question being, is it necessary?

Superbad, lady SA last time reluctantly added it in my bill during 50k kms service.
I didn't go for the same instead opt for early engine oil change every 8000-9000 kms.
They gave a credit note for the same, last time.
Which was adjusted in the current bill.
Until and unless you are seeing a black smoke. Don't go for such things.
They even had mentioned that it has been mentioned in TSB, but i told them to give a copy of same.
But they couldn't provide the same, so i said i would opt out of Decarbonisation.

Other day's incident in detail here: http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...silver-55-555-kms-counting-43.html#post264056

Hi Srinivas, after a long time I am seeing your post.
Its been lot of travel and work keeping me away. But I am here to stay for long now [:)]

I read your post on Scorpio's 55k service. The charges are at the lower side compared to Ananth Cars. Crome Motors is little far for me but with all the underpasses and flyover ready on outer ring road, I should give them a try next time.
Working with Maqbul was good, very understanding and customer centric manager.

just a query.

I have had been asked lot of times, but have got it couple of time initially. This is just a marketing gimmick using psychological way to charge more from you. As Mahesh said its not necessary always but when you feel the engine is pumping out more sute (smoke)

I didn't go for the same instead opt for early engine oil change every 8000-9000 kms.
Why do you get the engine oil changed so often, the recommended change cycle by mahindra is 20000 kms. I have seen representatives suggest to change every 10000kms. I changed it at 10000 and 20000 but after that i got it changed at 36000 and now I am planning to change it at 60000 if I dont see the oil being very black or sticky.

Guys, I finally got the issue in my Scorrpio rectified. It indeed was due to the faulty ABS unit which has been replaced under a goodwill gesture by folks at Mahindra. In the end, paid nothing, charges for brake oil too were waived off. Happy customer by the end of the day and the brakes are back to their normal self.

Thanks Mukesh for your suggestions.

Go for Bridgestone Dueller's 689.

One of the silent tyres on road, with great low rolling resistance.

Hi Balaji, they are the silent tyres which i have clocked 58,000 kms in 5 years.

And all of them still have considerable tread left in them.
