Fingers crossed brother. Well I don't think running few kms will cause much damage to petrol cars.. But keeping the battery idle might be the reason. Some grand i10 owner said he switches on the car once a week or so, and that he unlocks and locks the car with the smart key once in two days. There is a fuse just below the steering wheel. Switch it off while you keep it for long period of time.. That might help any leakages
Agree with you dgovin. I had kept my car idle for 10 days before this without any issues. I was very happy that i am not one of those who have got a faulty car.But now within 4 days such a thing has happened. It's my first car & i want to enjoy it.These sort of things take the fun out of it.Anyways, i will get my battery charged tomorrow.I just pray that this does not happen once more.

Hyundai Xcent standard warranty is 24 months / unlimited kms OR 24 months / 40,000 Kms if used for commercial purpose.

And what is the extended warranty being offered (time/kms) and price being quoted for the same?
Here's the pricelist. Full details are available at this link.

Hi Guys [confused],

I am bit confused in selecting the Version of the Car (Petrol or Diesel) and I have few queries regarding this,

1) If monthly usage will be 1000 - 1500 KM(Max), which version i have to prefer.
2) What is the mileage in both the version as per the User review, not as per the company Quote?
3) What is the maintenance cost of both the version??
4) What is the Maximum Speed can be attained by both the version?. Because mostly i will use the car for Weekend trips.

Please help me out on this :help:,

Thanks,

1. Go for diesel, if you can bear the initial cost difference between Petrol & Diesel. If it doesn't exceed max 1500, then Petrol.
2. I am using Petrol version and getting 13-15 in city, and 17-18 in highway.
3. Almost same, except a little high for Diesel, but not steep.
4. With Petrol, max I attained was 130 and since I don't want to push further, I kept it there. Since it is going to be for weekend trips, I suggest you to go with Elite i20 Diesel or equally powerful one. Reason was very obvious, with 1.2L & 1.1L engine, don't expect any extraordinary performance and at least 1.4L or above will be fun in highways. I have felt it during my last 2 highway trips in my Xcent and you can feel it while overtaking, where we need to be in right rpm, which is not possible most of the times.
