Hi guys,

Can someone help me with servicing info?
This month end my car will complete 2 months, so would be up for servicing.
Is it that i have to go to service center before i complete 2 months or i can go next month as well? I haven't received any call from Hyundai about servicing.
Sorry for the naive question.

Firstdrive

Its 2 months or 1500km whichever comes first. So I guess once 2months is over, try your best to take it to Service. I guess dealers will remind you near the completion of 2 months. They may excuse few days, but please follow up with them

There are few things I feel unhappy and skeptical about. It might not be an universal one.
1. The tacho and speedo needle still goes off after service guys said they have checked and reconnected the fuses.
2. Burning smell of plastic and at times rubber. They told maybe am using too much clutch while driving, but even after being cautious since then, I feel the odour from the engine bay. No smokes and all. But you know, we don't want to own a gradually burning down components car
3. AC not comfortably cooling
4. No spare bulb with Xcent, SA repeating that

^^ That doesn't sound good.

Try to have a reputed mechanic(not from HASS), to have a look at the issues. He may find the issue and I guess, that might be the root cause for A/C cooling also.

What is your current ODO reading? Mine is 3900km and no issues with A/C or the smell.

Register a complaint in Hyundai call center. your problem will be attended by an experienced person with much more attention.

Guy's faced a strange issue this Friday. I was on driving in regular traffic & suddenly the AC & Front Defogger stopped working. Both the AC & Front defogger button's were ON.The Blower was making full noise but no air through the AC vents for almost 10 minutes. After sometime it was back to normal.
Next day took the car to Hyundai Service. They did not find any error codes. They asked me to come back if i face the issue again.Has anyone else faced such a issue?

^^ Never faced any such issue. Already clocked 3600kms and yet to find a niggle. I guess, you can register a complaint with Hyundai CC and see if they can help you identify the issue and fix it.

Ok Guys!!!! I have been cursed with Battery Issue now. I kept my car idle for 1 week.It was parked Sunday evening & tired to start it on Saturday!.I don't use my car very regularly.I use it on weekends that too for a short distance of 50 odd kms. It's been 2.5 months old & have run just 450 kms. Earlier i had kept my car idle for 10 days & it started perfectly. But today morning i was in shock..Called up Sharayu Hyundai Nerul, they sent me a toll free number of exide with whom i had to co-ordinate.Luckily the service engineer from exide came in 1 hour.He checked & said something must have been ON in the car.But i cross checked & nothing was kept ON.Then he jump started my car & asked me to get the battery charged from outside.Have given the battery for charging at local exide shop, will receive it tomorrow.

Now i am in a dilema whether i should be using my car very frequently? I have started to feel the pinch now.Did i make a mistake by buying XCENT.My friends Maruti starts easily even after 2 months of being idle.. Can the low run of 450 kms in 2.5 months cause such a problem with battery?
Any suggesstions how i should go ahead or any precautions to be taken?

Fingers crossed brother. Well I don't think running few kms will cause much damage to petrol cars.. But keeping the battery idle might be the reason. Some grand i10 owner said he switches on the car once a week or so, and that he unlocks and locks the car with the smart key once in two days. There is a fuse just below the steering wheel. Switch it off while you keep it for long period of time.. That might help any leakages
