Yes, it is. I personally had them in my SX4 and never felt even after trips of around 2000kms. So, yes, you can go ahead with that. Also, make sure to put an sunfilm for your car, to have better A/C performance.

Hi furious_driver,
Sunfilms are banned by the Supreme Court of India. I was stopped by the cops, fined & asked to remove it on my old Alto.
Is there any relaxation given by the government now?

Cheers.

Yes. It should be of certain thickness and inside visibility should be there. We did this in our Xylo and SX4 and you hardly see that any sunfilm is applied. But it helped us with the A/C performance.

It is still banned but cops and RTO has relaxed on checking. Light films are passes by them.

Yup. Sunfilms are still banned and there's no relaxation whatsoever. Some shops are still illegally retailing sunflims including the 3M transparent ones but someone who's using them told me that they aren't too effective. Meanwhile until there's an update on this issue, I'm using removable window sunshades bought for 100 bucks which are serving quite well. Since we're moving OT, let's resume this discussion here: http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...order-no-sunfilms-allowed-4th-may-2012-a.html.

It is not officially lifted by SC, but here in TN, we heard this from one of guy in RTO and even from a policeman. We never had an issue with light sun films.

Re: Hyundai Xcent: Review | Test Drive | Pictures

Hi guys, a few questions.

1) I have a one month old Xcent. I use it rarely say on weekends only & have driven around 200 Kms.Will it be a problem as the 1st service says 1 month or 1000 kms. Also is it a problem for a car with low running in long term?

2) What is the tyre pressure to maintain on Xcent?

3) Did you guys get a courtesy call from Hyundai for the feedback on the car? It's surprising that i have not received any call from Hyundai for a feedback.

1. No issue as long as it is petrol car. And service they mention 1500kms or 2 months, whichever is earlier. So i guess after 2 months you have to give it for service in case it is petrol.

2. With 2+1, 33psi and for full load, 36psi.(Written on driver door side)

3. Yes i did get a call, to know about car, give feedback about the car.

There's no problem whatsoever but avoid leaving the car unused for longer durations (regardless whether it's petrol or diesel) which otherwise could be troublesome in long term. In case still required, refer to this thread for some useful tips and suggestions: http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...ing-your-car-parked-safely-long-duration.html.

Re: Hyundai Xcent: Review | Test Drive | Pictures

Hi firstdrive,
I would like to share my opinion regarding your concerns.
1) Less driving: I was also worried about the same thing as my car was idle for more than month. Grabbed the first opportunity to go for long drive (700+kms). It solved two purposes: got rid of wife's complaint about spending less time toghether [:D] and really enjoyed the long drive to know her better (of course, my second love: car). Clocked around 1400 kms after the trip, to give for servicing. If possible, I kindly suggest you to do the same.[;)]
2) Service feedback: I got two reminder calls from dealer reminding about servicing. Although servicing experience was not so impressive, as they didn't do much except washing and checking. Got car back in 2 hrs, however it was not cleaned properly. They said they checked & found everything alright. Complained to SA, he called cleaners & cleaned it again saying there is too much rush. I never asked them to give back immediately, I guess, they wants to claim as fastest service provider. They gave feedback form & insisted to give only 9-10 grading, I declined. Got a call from Delhi regarding servicing experience & online feedback form link mail in my mailbox.

Cheers!

Hi all,

Is it necessary to do the "Under Body Covering or Coating" for the Car?
