During the weekend I found the ride to be very bumpy. I had a hunch it could be the tyre pressure and boy it was low.After filling the same, the ride is as smooth as ever.

One of my colleagues bought the Xcent recently. The on road price was roughly 8.5L.
Here are some of my observations -
1. Do not like the way it looks. Moreover, it does not look like a car worth that much money.
2. Great Quality interiors.
3. Lack of space is a huge issue. 3 people just can't sit at the back.
4. Decent AC.
5. Extremely bumpy ride.
6. Loaded with features. Something Hyundai is known for now!

Will sell in India for sure but I am never buying it. No offences meant to any owners.

Hyundai Xcent waiting period?Sharayu Hyundai Nerul taking me for a ride?

I had booked Hyundai Xcent from Sharayu Motors Nerul on 29th March 2014.I opted for SX(O) petrol Red Passion color. I was told by the sales agent that he will try to give the car at start of may & the worst possible would be may end.But now he says that he does not have allocation for my car yet..I went to other hyundai showroom Modi Hyundai & the SA says he can arrange a car in max 5 weeks.I don't know if he can really arrange it or is he just saying it for booking.. Thia would be my first car & was very much excited about it. But now the SA say's it will be june end.That too he cannot guarantee. It's been 2 months waiting for a car.Has anyone bought xcent from Sharayu Hyundai? Wanted to know how can i take it forward? Or should i cancel my booking & buy some other car? Anyone who can help me on this?

If other dealer SA can give you in writing that he can arrange a car within 5 weeks, then go for it. Else play the waiting game.

I know it is frustrating, but we consumers are sometimes very helpless.

Try contacting Hyundai regional sales office and check for the status. Try talking about paying some premium for earlier delivery, if SA agrees to it, then you know for sure what is going on and then you can straight away complain about delivery jhol jhaal on paying extra premium to Hyundai regional sales.

Thanks Dharmesh! Well i have already told my SA that i am willing to make Full Payment as m not looking out for any loan.It's really embarrasing that you tell all your friends & relatives that you have booked a car & they keep on asking you when are you receiving your car???

Tried to complain on Hyundai Website, got a call from Sharayu Hyundai. But the reason's given were not very satisfactory not were they very much intrested in putting me on the next lot that is expected. I wish there should be a way you are allotted a number on booking & you can check the status of your car online on the manufacturer's website. Well it will help the consumer, but the dealer's will make sure this should'nt happen, else they can't do the so called Jhol Jhaal.

Hello firstdrive,

If car is allocated to you then SA should have its VIN. You insist SA to give it then only pay the balance amount. I would recommend you to do PDI before paying balance amount

Hi firstdrive,
I went through the same situation. However dealer has given me the official letter stating allocation number, is in transport & will be delivered to me on approximate xx/xx date.
I was also hesitant to make full payment & told them that since i've my payment ready & money will be transferred electronically to your account on the same day only after it arrives at your yard after doing physical inspection. After lot of discussion sales manager agreed.
After it arrived, transferred the money on the same date & got delivery after 2 days after finishing RTO formalities.[:D]
As you are not taking any loan & money is ready, try to convince them.

Thanks Xcentlover. Well even i am not taking any loan. I will try to convince the SA that i will transfer the money after checking out the car.I have already waited 10 weeks for my car. & SA has said it will be available by month end. So it's almost 13 weeks of waiting at Sharayu Hyundai Nerul.Now just waiting for my car to arrive
