Xcent actually supports EOBD which is nothing but European equivalent of OBD II. Techinically, there is no difference.
Even before this answer I tested OBD II in my car and it is working fine. Got FE calculations and it seems to be closely accurate with my tankful to tankful. Also a lot more useful information is available.

@furions_driver: Which OBD II scanner you use for testing in Hyundai Xcent? Am planning to get one too..

Hello Guys,
1) A question regarding the security system of XCENT.
Yesterday i went to my Xcent which was parked near my home.I did not have keys with me.
Since it's SX(O) model & has keyles entry, i pressed the BLACK button & tried to open the doors.
Well it did not open,but there was no beeps or alert that someone is trying to forcefully enter.

2) Xcent does not make the Beep sounds on locking & unlocking the car? Is it possible to enable that? Has someone tried it?
I would like my car to make beep sounds with lock & unlock & not just the lights.Those are very confusing when parked under sunlight & you lock the car from a far distance.

@cardreamer
Yes. My Nexus 5 BT is always on. So moment I enter the car, it will be paired to OBD as well as BT Audio system.

^^ I don't think so. It will turn on only when you start the ignition.
^^ Then I think itz good.. Somewhere I have read that these OBD scanners drains the battery and there are some scanners which provides an ON/OFF switch as well.
Have you been using this for a while? If you have noticed any battery draining then I will decide to go with this model only.. Also, have you installed Driver ArmRest in your Xcent?
