Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

Back From A.S.S they changed The Master cylinder Yet clutch is hard [cry]
They says it must be a Pressure plate issue [frustration]
They said we have to Pay around 13K+ if issues is with clutch palte [cry]
Does Pressure plate have limited period warranty one of the SA told so ?

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

dude if clutch isnt burnt, or does not have a bluish tinge to it they should do it in warranty.
My car to has a pressure plate issue, it slams the clutch plate on the flywheel and creates a khaat noise.
They decided to open the transmission, but checked other petrol vernas and found the same issue, the service centre uploaded the video and details of the issue and sent it to hyundai qc. More then a month now no reply from them. At this rate te clutch or flywheel will be damaged pre-maturely.
By the way your clutch is hard from the beginning. Prove them that and ask them to check your service records. Your warranty will be done, but only if plates are not burnt or bluish colour.
today while driving the car sometimes the gears would go into neutral more smoother then butter, and sometimes clunky. Sometimes while shifting into reverse i get a grating noise. Sometimes while i change gears and leave the clutch the grinding noise comes and i have to press the clutch go to neutral and slot back in the gear. Happens mostly on 2nd and third.

I know for sure that clutch is not gone because i am not a person who ride On clutch i haven't lost any pickup too i have the same problem as you Mentioned the noise while engaging the Reverse Gear and at times while releasing the clutch
Today they replaced the Master cylinder after that to my horror the gears wont slot if the engine is running but became smooth once engine was shutdown
In my Previous service i have already reported the hard clutch and they have it in there record
They told me they will tell about the issue tomorrow after opening the clutch assembly

Fingers Crossed [cry]

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

id advise you to be present while they open the clutch assembly, they could even put someone else's clutch and say its worn you need to pay.
My gear slotting issues are not regular. But the clutch KHAT noise and noise while slotting in 3rd gear is. I think hyundai went cost cutting on the clutch system as well.

if you dont ride the clutch, do jack rabbit starts, dont use the clutch unnecessarily or reverse up a slope, or use the clutch instead of breaks to hold the car up on a slope then i dont see why a clutch should be of any issue at such a less km unless its a manufacturing defect or poor quality. I have seen cars with 90,000km+ with the original clutch while others used in severe traffic at 60-70k km. Also seen a verna with a burnt clutch at 300km.

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

I told them about the The speed sensing door lock activation they said that can be done only on SX(O) and not in SX but i told till that i am a member Of TIA and came to know most of the SX owners have done it from A.S.S

They ask me to tell the A.S.S name so that Our A.S.S could get in touch and do the necessary ( Please anybody help me out here )

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

It can't be activated by them. Instead they have a security upgrade module for verna which has those features viz : Auto Door lock , Siren for door lock/unlock , impact sensor and other features of security systems. It costed me Rs 2500.00
It's Hyundai's own so we don't have to change the key transmitter.

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

Impact sensing door unlock are already occupied in 1.6 SX Models i got it confirmed form the warranty in guys computer But speed sensing door lock wasn't on there list [cry]

There are lot of other members in this forum who have activated via G-Scan
As far i what My A.S.S told module has only auto door lock and siren for door lock/unlock [surprise]
