i haven't seen this yet on my car .but it happened on both the headlamps then sure it's some factory defect.

and as nick says after warranty they say " saar (sir) [ change it or else humidity will cause damage to the bulb etc etc"
Yea Next time i Visit Service center I am gonna [gun] The warranty in charge [evil]

twice i tried from their site no replies mate. Luckily the warranty in charge and the gm of the service department(share a few smokes with him) are good pals of us. So any issue or any demands i want i tell them, while the advisors run on a different league,"saar its fine no issues, saar why you want to change, Saar i dont hear no noises" But once i tell my pals they ask the mechanics to check and they find it and its replaced.

We aren't in good terms with The A.S.S but One of the SA is really helpfull he looks upon the matter really like his car and i always give my car keys to him it difficult to find such Gem SA.

we have gems of advisors at my service centre, lets talk about one of them priceless gurus, took the car for test drive saw a dog dint apply brakes slammed into it, broke my bumper and fogs and says i had to or else (ghost)car from behind would bang. To save his job we paid via insurance and took the blame on us. Billing time he comes with a receipt saying this is your liability pay it, we got annoyed and said why should we? We paid insurance you pay this. No sir i can not you have to. A while later ok sir i will pay 50%. Then later with some murmuring he said ill pay all, but he never said thank you or spoke in a polite way.
the next gem you tell him you want to change this part, in a stern voice he says no there is no need still so much time is there why you want to waste money. While he could have said sir there is sometime left to change this part but if you still want i can get that done.
the next gem, sir why are you bothering so much with the noises its there in all cars, i asked him is it there in your car? if you got it in your brand new car would you not pester someone to make it right?

Had a problem with gear shifts. Of late whenever i travel on the highways (200Km+ journeys).. and i stop for a cup of tea after driving long.. when i restart the clutch feels simply effortless but the gear refuses to shift to first or second.. It takes atleast half an hour before things come back to normal by itself. Got stranded near vellore for the first time. Called up hyundai assistance, But by the time they arrived i tried to start and shift.. It started working.

Given vehicle for service. Clutch master cylinder failure... They are replacing the part in warranty.

that sucks even vishak's master cylinder was changed :\ another factory issue perhaps [anger]

and in normal drives too gears are hard. i can easily shift in my i10 with no problem what so ever.

Yea exactly i too had the same problem [frustration]
at times i had to shift the gear to 3rd move a little bit using clutch and then downshift to 1st it works..!!!
Sometimes pumping the clutch would help you
Now you got the master cylinder changed you don't have to worry about it..!!!

itz been 24Hrs + Since i have shot mail to customer care smmes like they arent intrested [anger]
Lets wait some more time if i dont see any reply iam going by [rules]

it happens even in my petrol [sad] but i hope it doesn't becomes a huge problem afterwards.

the same happens with my i10 sometimes , never in santro.

at my service centre we cannot go to an advisor directly we have to fill up a form and hand it over to the reception who places it at the bottom the forms filled before me. Even if you take an appointment its first come first serve basis without appointments are put in waiting. Luckily for me i just go without appointment and without being in a wait list.

I think the hydraulic system design is at fault, there are tonnes of cars who have had this issue few which have been stranded but theres no sign of a re-call to fix the issue. I have the issue but it doesn't come every time, it would be hard to show them the issue so ill wait till im stranded and then do whatever i have to do. Keeping a hammer as well in the car so if the gears get stuck i can hammer the shifter back into gear[;)]. I miss those days when the clutch had feedback and a cable it only needed greasing adjustment and replacement. Now bleeding, and replacement of affected part which isnt cheap.

Initially for me it wouldn't happen every time but as time progress it became real hard [cry] and most of the time the issue persist

well i think it happens more in diesel cars as the clutch is heavier then petrol ones. Ill try my luck and see what happens. No time to push the car in the service centre hence my oil change which was as per the manual at 10k is pushed to 12-13k interval as well synthetic oil making this possible, showroom guys told me to come directly at 20k i.e 15k interval.
