Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

maybe he could keep some fish curry near the car for the cat, as well a nice cozy basket im sure no rats would dare chew stuff from your car. Btw i hope you don't eat anything in the cabin, if you do ensure you clean up or those pesky creatures will make its way into the cabin

check with your service centre if they can provide this for you or if you can get your own oils they cost between rs700-1200 per litre
But ASCs dont allow to use personally bought oils from outside at their ASCs since their INCOME drops.

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

some of them do, infact at my service centre i had asked them if they have synthetic oil and they told me if i want i can get the oil and come. They just charge for filter and labour. Other service centres talk about warranty void if you dont use their oil, you have to show your owners manual where the list of recommended oil grades are and that oil you got is matchin it so they cant void warranty. On my car i make them log the oil i made them fill in service records

During initial Oil Changes of our Xylo E8 ABS at MASS (under warranty), when I took Engine Oil (15W40 CH/CI4) from outside and hand over it to them, the MASS would say "Sir, what is the guarantee that the oil you brought is really CH/CI4 equivalent?".
I want to mention one thing that MASS in Solapur uses all lubes which are packed by M&M itself. Every Lube and Fluid container has sticker of M&M on it.
Engine Oils are available in different Range-- Crown, Premium, etc according to the vehicle in which it is recommended and the drain interval. They are available in packs of 6 litres (for Premium and for Xylo BSIII)
Gear Oil and Differential Oil are also available as per capacity of Gear Box and Differential of the vehicle (1.2 ltr for GO and 1.8 ltr for DO for Xylo)
The Coolant is also of M&M.
Brake Fluid is of KBX Brand.

This is not the case in any other ASC-- Maruti, Tata, Hyundai, etc. All use 210 ltrs Barrel. Same grade oil from those barrels is used for all vehicles irrespective of the grade of oil recommended for that particular vehicle.

Sorry to discuss off-topic here.[embarass]

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

well the showroom i go to uses shell, 15w40 api-sl for all petrol engines and 15w40 i dont remember the rating but was the minimum recommended in the manual.
These guys were using shell coolant rated for 50,000km now started servo rated for 30,000km. When i went for my 1000km service i asked them if they have synthetic they said no you can get whatever oil you wish. Its terrible to see them using 15w40 on the newest petrol engines while other manufacturers have gone to 5w30. With the 15w40 oil i was getting extremely terrible fe of 7-9km/l highway after shifhting to synth 0w40 fe went to 12-14. This time ill try 5w30.

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

check the clutch cylinders, have them bleed the system thoroughly using two mechanics. One should press the clutch while the bleeder valve is open and hold it there, while the other one closes the valve before he leaves the pedal, they must do this till they see clear oil coming out with no bubbles.
On my car just one guy did it. No effects were found then next time two guys did so after i thought them how it should be done it worked.

whats our odo reading? i feel theres some design flaws in their clutch system.

It was bleed during The FE issue i told you about maybe they didn't bleed properly which maybe air to enter through the bleeder valve [cry]

My odo reading is 15427 [sleep]
