the cost to overhaul a diesel verna with new pistons, sleeves rings, machined crankshafts, new bearings and other seals gaskets comes to around 1.5l with labour.

why do you need to do all this ?

well up here no one does that to cars
I haven't done to my car . I have covered nearly 180,000kms in my ford falcon and still running with no issues

I am paying similar amount for whole engine change with computer and loom. how come thats too much

i have no clue why its that much, not many would require overhauls anytime soon but i just put the cost just like that, my friend ruptured his oil sump and the engine starved before the oil lamp came on those were the expenses he had to bare

hahaha... well I thought I will be welcomed with a huge party by the fluidic family :D

I opted CRDI SX... on road is now 11.41.. yeah it is now costlier after the budget..

i don't think any after market security system is needed. i didn't even installed a gear lock. dad said no need.

and if i'm not wrong some one said that verna cannot be opened by that scale method. like putting the scale besides the glass which unlocks the car ?

no it cannot be opened, I've seen the way the system locks.
Since you are getting the sx i suggest you not to fiddle with the central locking system however if you want the siren alarm then its available with hyundai.
The immobilizer system cannot be changed as it is concerned with the ecu.


Id suggest you go in for stock replacement bulbs for the headlight if you do lots of night driving in pitch darkness, the stock ones don't really light up the road well.
Go in for led scuff plates they really make the car look sexy.

if your a big audiophile then sound upgrade is a good thing. The rear speakers are terrible.

yeah going through the thread I understood that Headlights needs to be upgraded. No idea of upgrading tyres for now but audio and scuff plates, will do. and Nick the headlight LED strip also looks awesome. gives eyebrows to the eagle eye headlamps.. ;)

Where can I get these scuff plates ?

i think any automotive accessories shop will have it costs 1400-1600, oh and don't forget the chrome window garnish its a thing needed on the carbon grey, have a look at my ownership review theres pictures of it costs 4500 bucks.
