did you try colin ? it removed all the gum. but yes the portion near the tail light will be hard to access.

and don't worry , verna's ac is good , will cool the car in minutes , just make sure you open the windows for a minute or two and the blower without ac on at high.

check my thread as well. went for a highway drive.

Bazooka - Looks like your smile is back [:)] I am pretty happy with HP regular petrol - gives around the 10kmpl mark in city and around the 16kmpl mark in highways. But will try Shell next time.

dude filling petrol of a certain value and quantity isn't really accurate since some pumps are always tampered and the quantity of fuel gone in isn't really what is displayed on the pump. Fill it full tank till the brim and drive it till the light blinks and take th value as 41/40l. Man i was just missing your happy days where you were to pull our legs.

Hey guys..got my baby last Wednesday..its an awesome machine..till now did 550kms, n FE i am getting is about 17(thats what mid shows) with all city driving..!!
I am purposefully avoiding TAI after reading the problems all other guys facing with verna, because as of now i want to enjoy it..!!
As it is a diesel vehicle, is there anythning which i should avoid to maintain the life of the car, as this is my first diesel..?

Hey Karlover , don't avoid TAI as this is not a Verna Haters Forum. There are a lot of members who love their Vernas. The guys who have any niggling problems are the most valuable contributors to these forums and you will get valuable inputs from them. Don't read too much in what's written negatively but read what's unwritten or read between the lines as to what is intented for the benefit of all the verna users.

I myself like many other diesel verna owners are among the very many Happy Verna Diesel owners. I have a SX O Auto like the one that Guzzler another forum member who has just today taken delivery of an Auto Verna Diesel and Gears1313 who is in his 1st month of diesel Verna ownership . You will find that most of the Diesel Verna Owners are a happy lot. Everybody enjoys the good looks , the silent diesel motor, the beautiful biege interiors , the light steering which is a boon in today's traffic filled roads , the good Aircon , the easy handling gear box , the comfy front seats , the nice stock head unit , the great features for daily use like Bluetooth , reverse camera , the excellent safety features like airbags , Abs brakes , EBD brakes , etc , etc ,

So just enjoy the best diesel sedan in India !!
And Yes , Pick up valuable tips from the TAI members and don't get disheartened . Keep coming back here. It's a nice place to be !

Karl buddy no one likes to spend 10 odd lacs and crib abt it in forums! Its a fact the petrol version is a dud, keeping the view this car has more problems than solutions i suggest you keep a tab on things.

Hey All you Verna Guys out there. Please make a note of the rare confession from Nick.
"i love the car to as well, thats what keeps me from selling it[;)]"
That's what I meant when I said to read between the lines . Small niggles are part of any Car. It's the Overall Experience of the whole Package that matters. And Hyundai has done a great job in leaving behind the Honda City,s and the Ventos , the Rapids , the SX4 , the Sunny By a huge margin.

Take Pride in that we are driving the Best Midsize Saloon and lets Enjoy the experience.
