something more i found
I purchased Fluidic 1.6 SX VTVT in June. First Servicing done and 2500 km travelled. I am getting the shocking mileage os 8 km/l in city driving conditions. Complained a lot to Hyundai but the mileage issue is still not rectified. So be aware!
I'm finding lots of guys complaining of this issue from the vtvt stable while there are some who are saying their getting 17 on highway and 13 in city[surprise]

CNG!! never, will never go in for cng. I know its cheaper then petrol but i will loose out on boot space, and maybe have a few issues some say cng needs regular servicing. Not to mention the que while filling up plus i heard you can do 250km or something per filling.

Although i have seen 2 vernas till now being converted and 2 test drive cars at my dealership running on cng, but the mid is never set on fe display but trip meter!

all the guys who's complains I've read now get the same 8 in city. My car does 20% in the city so i can't tell the real life figures but mid shows me 10-11 so i assume its around 9 somewhere. I can only suggest you guys go on a highway drive and check, it will also free up the engine and decarb

Yest filled up at Shell got the super unleaded petrol in for 500 bucks, and instanly the FE started showing 12.6! Highest ever but the excitement was short lived it sttled to a more feasible 10.6 range. Since the traffic was quite high the MID showed 8.0 kmpl!!!

The fuel light blinked at 22.6 kms post the fill and DTE showing 60 more to goto. I knew from my prev fill there was a distance of 12 kms before the fuel light started blinking, hence if i do get 60 out then the overall would be 70 kms for 6 litres of petrol thats = 11.66 kmpl!

If that happens then that's a massive 2 kmpl jump from what i was getting. wait an watch this space.

Fuel light came up at 22.9 kms

If this works will shift to shell permanently, also why i think this sounds promising is the MID FE would at time comes down to 10.1 and come back to 10.6 kmpl.

you should always check the average by getting a full tank :\ partial fill ups may not give accurate results.

my trip meter showed 164 kms and 6 bars were down. will wait for another 6 bars to get down [:D]

shell super unleaded has mileage improver additives, when i used it the mid showed something else but the real fe which came was good just below speed 97 but above other fuels. How much per litre? Oh and how did you find shells service? Their fuels are very pure and theres no foul play. Btw i bet your engine seems more relaxed doesn't it?
Btw check the vid i put up and see if the same noise occurs in your car.

The shell costed me 83.19 per litre, yep the shell service is very good although if this works will go for shell than BP as can't trust these bunks. For me I calculate on the real time FE a margin of 2 Kms either ways is fine. The target is 10 kmpl which I used to get so making full tank doesn't help for me.

Nick the shell fuel is very pure and I've no shortage of bunks here so it should work hopefully!

there is a shell bunk near by my place, but its been temporarily closed for some years now, next closest is 120km away. There was this reliance pump outside dhirubhai embanks knowledge city here they used to have good fuels and octanes regular 93 and 98

now the only functional ones have regular crap.

so hopefully this fuel give you the gold old mileage back, then we can for sure bet on it that engine is a crybaby needing expensive fuels and expensive oils to give good fe.

Got the sunfilms removed by myself [:D]

The rear film was a mess hence got it removed by the car accessories fella, paid him 200 bucks in all. Its a mess to remove these films truck loads of gum! have to say the instant feeling apart form the sun lit interiors was the heat, its gonna be a tough time indeed!

Also the gum cudnt be removed near the brake light on the rear windscreen. Will have to try something else.
