I was interested in buying the E diesel base variant of Verna. The E base variant does not get a touchscreen. I am from Kerala. Here none of the dealers have the E variant and they don't have much details on it. Hoping you guys can shed some light on these things for me.

1) The brochure says that the sliding centre armrest starts from the EX variant. Is there any sort of armrest in the base variant(non sliding)?

2)Is there a distance to empty and average fuel economy indicator on the MID. Importantly is the MID present on the E variant?

Maybe dealers in the metro cities have this variant with them. Can anyone please help me on this?

A well deserved feat for Hyundai. Between the overpriced Honda City, and the under-powered Ciaz, the Verna has come out as a great Value for money package in the updated form. Not only have they made a major update, moving out of the earlier fluidic look, they have given a much better car in a all new platform. The last update of the Verna was just pushing it too far when it came to the facelift. They needed to work and bring in something new for the segment and they exactly did that.

With the new Verna, they have retained their strong points like the engine, and gearbox, while improving on the space, handling and looks. The pricing is also on a sweet spot, rightly place little higher than the Ciaz and much lower than the City. In terms of looks, the resemblance with the Elantra which is a segment above only helps the Verna.

Though, I feel they could have got the car a few months earlier, but still better late than never.

I am the owner of this next gen Hyundai Verna 1.6 CRDI SX(O) top end model

Car is loaded with great features and the engine is a gem but the availability of spare parts leads a lot to be desired. My two month old Verna met with an accident and the spare parts are not available today 17 days after accident.
While the car is good, the Hyundai Spare parts availability spoils the experience. Better to stick to Suzuki

I will be selling this car to buy the new facelifted Suzuki Ciaz on its launch.

While the engine is powerful and car is good, it does not come with the peace of mind of a Maruti. Please avoid the Verna and all the marketing gimmick Hyundai is doing around it

Surprising... must be a problem with the A$$, you are dealing with. One my close friends has a 15 year old Santro and it's cool to maintain it.

Mine is a Dec 2012 model and I gave my car in Mar 2016, to Trident Hyundai, Yeswantpur, B'lore. After "Body shop works, parts replacement (like Door, Wheel, Bumper, Mirror etc), and Insurance Formalities, the Car was delivered on the 4th day after accident.

Talk to Hyundai Customer Care; the phone number will be in a sticker in your Car or in the Owners Manual.
