you can switch back to semi synthetic but you will find a difference for sure. don't know if it will be a good idea to switch to mineral oil. semi should be fine.

Synthetic oil is costing too much, it's thrice the price of normal/Mineral oil. Is the Price worth the benefits ?

If your running was high then maybe yes , synthetic would have been better. But in a case like yours , semi is more than sufficient.

I have issues with my Car A/C.. When ever i take my car for long drives.. within an hour or two, i get some plastic burning smell from a/c vent & after sometime no air comes out of the air vent..(Even with A/C on and full blower speed).. I could hear the blower running sound but literally no air..
I need to stop the car, cool it for around 1/2 hr and again start..
Is it common with Xcent MT ?..
I even tried changing the cabin filter.. but still no use..
Please post your inputs...

Mine Xcent has covered about same in 3 Years, so far no such issues have come up.
Heating up of AC motor could be one of the reason for the smell, it's better to get it rectified with some good mechanic,else there might be some other damage to the system, which may cost even more.

Given my car to Hyundai Service stn..
They say the Evaporator coil is gone..its leaking..
Quoted 8500/- for part + lbr.. Is it reasonable,,?

i faced some strange thing with my xcent on friday whle returining back from office. while i was coming out of my office campus in goregaon east (nirlon knowledge park) suddenly i head huge sound of some heavy metal things hitting the car from down. i slowed my car and heard 2 people shouting from back to stop car as something had fallen from my car, i immediately stopped and went out to see those 2 holding my rotating belt and camshaft pulley in their hand. luckily while going out to see, i had not switched the car of, so i put it in gear and parked on the side.
on opening the bonnet, i saw the belt and the main pulley missing and the engine oil leaking.
somehow i managed to get a tow, only after waiting for 2 hrs and got the car parked at a local garage. the mechanic did the initial check and told that a metal/steel bar connecting camshaft and the pulley broke into 2 and half is stuck inside.
i have never heard anything ever like this ever happen to anyone where parts of engine break and fall down when the car is moving. the belt is not damaged at all but the pulley has got sharp cuts on the edges due to the fall. i had done my paid services on 9 june.
car is still in garage and the mechanic and me are still shocked that how can a strong engine part just break into 2 and result in this.

This is a common problem in this car. Many members have faced the same issue. Sub standard part quality.

PM Ramachandran Chennai ; Hyudai i-10 : My problem. The AC automatically switches off after some half an hour or so after starting on the trip. I understand that there is an auto cut off if the engine temp exceeds a certain high setting. but I see that this happens frequently now even when the engine temp is less than half way up and car is on the move. For the last few years I have not come across this problem. I had the concerned relay changed to no avail. Is the fault with the board which I beleive costs about 10,000/- Has any one got an advice on this issue. I will be grateful.

Hello guys since few days i am facing a problem with my car.
