Re: My Hyundai Grand i10 Asta (O) Petrol Ownership Review

Underbody antirust treatment means rubber coating ??? Please guide me about it with benefits.
Its not a rubber but some sort of layer which does anti-corrosion and rust treatment. I have done it at Hyundai ASS and also got 2 Years warranty for same. Also note that Hyundai ASS has tie up with 3M for doing this.

Re: My Hyundai Grand i10 Asta (O) Petrol Ownership Review

Hi everyone, i am from Chennai and a new owner of Grand i10 Asta(O) in Wine Red color. The car is a week old and has done 350 KMS till now.

I will open up the ownership thread shortly to give my view about the vehicle and seek expert guidance on the queries that i have.

I am not new to driving , have a decade experience and have owned fewer cars before for my family. This would be my 3rd for my own use and coming DOWN from Punto 90HP , which is 3 yrs. old and being used by my father now.

I will chart down more details on my thread about the car and accessories being added.

Thanks to all members for making this place so resourceful.

Congrats for the purchase. Is it petrol or diesel? What is the OTR price?
Its peppy petrol [clap] and the first pertol car i have ever owned.
OTR came to 6.3L including Bharti Axi Insurance.

3M give 5 yrs warranty and 6 months periodic checkup.

I have done it from Hyundai ASS and not 3M, but what i know is all detailing for Hyundai ASS is been done from 3M hence the warranty period and amount quoted is on lower side [:)]

Has anyone tried installing an arm rest?

I bough this but unable to figure out to fix it properly. I guess, i have to drill holes at the bottom of the gear/rear vent console to fix the base of this armrest? Would that void warranty of the car in anyway? (Drilling holes on plastic body)

I have brought one thro eBay, but yet to install it.
But i have an experiance of installing it in Punto. All you need to do is drill 4 holes (actually you can screw it directly , no need for driller) into the center console in between 2 front seats, to get the base fixed.
Once its done, you can attach the Arm rest using other screws.
I dont think warranty would get impacted as its fixing 4 screws into the plastic part.

You just have to remove old one and it fits right onto the same sockets and screw holes. No modification needed. I imported them.
Looks neat, please share the source, if you dont mind.
