Re: My Hyundai Grand i10 Asta (O) Petrol. 1000Kms & Banged (Details on Page 5)

Hi congrats on your new Grand i10! Its a car that has pleased me too in every term, except the diesel's performance! Great that you have got a petrol!
But I feel so sorry your new Korean chick has been hit at the rear!! But seems like a small repair work only, dont worry! [cheers]

Sales person will only see his profit. Dont believe his words. It will only be company's decision to give discounts or not. Here in hyderabad era, magna ,sportz and asta models are readily available in a week but asta (o) has a waiting period of 6-8 weeks. I dont know the reason but I feel people are interested in buying the top end as its more VFM. I feel once the advance bookings are done hyundai will surely give discounts. Instead of taking delivery in december end I will advise you to take it on january first or second week. Will save you one year while resale. Also you will get the new batch.
Hi,

I need the car in mid December and can't wait till end of December or January.planning to keep it for 5 years plus, hence resale shouldn't be an issue.capital Hyundai noida informed me that asta(o) has a 6 weeks waiting period so if I book now I can expect the delivery in mid December.

Price 6.2 OTR ,extra for zero dep insurance.do you recommend going for the zero dep insurance?I will be moving from Kolkata to Noida and have never driven in delhi/Ncr roads.

A bit confused with the colour as well.Personally feel lighter colours suit the grand better. So the orange, white or silver appear better.

Fortune Hyundai is charging 20k as booking amount with a waiting period of 4 weeks, whereas capital Hyundai is charging 50k as booking amount with waiting of 6 weeks.

I would anyday go for zero depreciation insurance for a new car. Thum rule is Go for Zero Depreciation only if you are new to driving , otherwise Its not really needed. Buts its again individual's choice to spend more money.

Yes I too feel that light colours will bring out the fluidic design better. I liked golden orange a lot but wifey refused it point blank. She was pushing for silver but then we both settled for white with mutual consent.

I dont really know why dealers are asking for huge booking amount that too for a car which is selling like hot cake. I know its just 1000 rs booking amount for swift and ritz that too fully refundable. Anyway, I paid 10000 for asta(o). Likely to get delivery in first week of november. Ask dealer to give you assurance regarding delivery date.

I also loved the golden orange color and Hyundai grand looks great in that color. And Orange gives a fresh feel to the car.

Guys colours are subjective and personal, but I have seen few while Grands on the road and in frst sight the are not noticeable. once might just overlook it as if I20.
Silver suits this car better than white so was the openion of the SA at Hyundai.
Color is too personal a choice to make, here is my list of grands colour preferences [:D]
1) WINE RED
2) GOLDEN ORANGE
3) TWILIGHT BLUE
4) SLEEK SILVER
5) PURE WHITE

HAvent seen below colours in rear so far,
PLATINUM BLACK,
STARDUST
SILKY BEIGE

@ Parth,

Stardust and black make dirt too evident on the car I noticed. I have seen one white grand in my colony , the rear looks stunning and very much noticeable. Orange is the one to go for as that is the color company is advertising it in. Wine red is also good.

Asked the same question on car toque and they suggested orange one. Silver is too common for any car and roads are filled with it. White brings out fluidic design better. But as you aid rightly color is subjective.

One of my friend sold his eon and dealer told him he would have paid him 15 k more had it been white color.

@ hallovipin,
What you said is correct about resale value of white colour,
also for the repair jobs white and silver are cheaper like much inevitable denting and scratches in our kindaa traffic[anger]

I agree with you. Silver is too common .White gives a classy fee but gets soiled easily. Orange is unique and gives that sporty fee to the car. I will book the orange[:D]

Hi parth,

Did you get your car repaired ? how much did it cost?
I am in touch with the HASS manager. They are waiting for new bumber and fixing brackets.
HE says it would be approximately 10K. Including bumper-painting, Boot denting and other internal damages.

Hope you claim Insurance.

Even my sparky met with small accident last month. I was waiting for my insurance renewal (19th Oct). Even for me it might take 10k.

At the same time pool car drivers in our factory asked me to bring the car so that it can be done in very minimal cost (tinkers will come and work in our factory parking itself)

I have to see which could be cheaper.

At the same time I thought of replacing my bumper with new type bumper with if possible.

I was thinking whether the dealer is charging me more as I am to. Claim insurance.
It seems the cost is OK then?
