Re: My Hyundai Grand i10 Asta (O) Petrol. 1000Kms & Banged (Details on Page 5)

@Parth

I felt something looking at the rear of the Grand, the "GRAND" badging is not done properly and looks overdone to me, what you say[:)]

Guys,

Have finally decided on the Grand i10 Asta petrol without the o.so no diamond cut alloys, abs and airbags for me.No freebies with the car.Hope Hyundai will be a pleasant experience.

Lawyeronwheelz
Is the a price difference btw the non Diamond cut and diamond cut models? Surprising.

The Asta optional version adds abs, airbags and diamond cut alloys.the price difference between asta and asta optional in noida is around 35k.otr of asta is 5.85l whereas asta(o) comes to 6.2 l

Hey bro I don't understand the only asta variant.
IMO either sports or the Asta-o make sense. Why did you chose only asta.

@Gurrala I agree the badging is not properly done but not sure if its overdone.
I miss the ABS badge on the top trim there.

I agree with you.35k is not much for abs, airbag and the so called diamond cut alloys.the thing is I am getting married shortly and have lots of other things to buy. Saving 35k is precious at the moment for me:p.I have booked the asta option.should get the delivery on 15th of December.

Parth I checked out the sportz crdi model today and the seat is pretty low, kind of european I believe.

@parth I did not go for the sports because it doesnt have rear defogger and wiper which even my wagon r vxi has.have driven in a downpour and I know how useful they are.plus I have always wanted those steering mounted controls, sportz doesn't have the alloy wheels either

Thanks buddy! There were some ppl who went 6 lakhs for a hatchback! You should have bought a sedan. I don't think you get a fully loaded sedan at this price!
You can actually if you just minus safety features. Swift Dezire VXI costs same as grand i10 asta(o). Both have no discounts.

Yes, I was considering dezire seriously. Was also impressed with its interiors but chose Grand for its overall package and safety features. Plus a hatchback gives that flexibility of extended bood space after the rear seat folding,I found it worth to be considered when comparing to a notchback sedan.

yes.. Parth .. dezire is also selling in big numbers.
My colleague had bought white dezire and is very much content with it. As per him its fuel consumption meter shows 15-17kmpl in city conditions. [thinking] I was literally amazed on that as grand i10 owners have posted 10-11 kmpl figures in city conditions.
It really forces you into thinking that someone is getting a well reputed sedan in the same prize. My priorities were safety features else I would have got settled down with grand i10 magna variant which is 1.2 lakhs less than asta(o).

I don't like the looks of the new dzire.as party said its a notchback, compact sedan.I believe if its a sedan,it should be a proper full blown sedan!

Don't go by what the MID says which is mostly rubbish as far as the fuel efficiency is concerned.the figures are bumped up.Dzir is undoubtedly a practical notchback/compact sedan.I just went with the grand because that's where my heart went, didn't listen to my head:p

I agree to this point. The MID values are mostly wrong. The owner of dzire has to check the FE based on the tankful to tankful method.

If it is true then 15 - 17 is an excellent FE for a petrol sedan in city condition.

Grand doesnot have MID which shows mileage and instant mileage. It just has the simple MID.
